Both the menu and ambience are terrific especially after the recent renovations. They have the best saki & Japanese beer range in Canberra in the new bar area. It gets better every time I go there. But what makes this place so special is the exceptional customer service and attention to detail. It’s a fabulous place! I can’t rate it more highly. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

About Lilotang Japanese

Head Chef Shunsuke Ota combines his traditional Japanese training and techniques with new methods and techniques that he develops himself, creating modern Japanese dishes that begin with tradition but have evolved to be very much his own style. Located in the Burbury Hotel, the restaurant is slick with pale timber walls illuminated by strip lighting and lemon-yellow pops of colour. Semi private dining areas are created by hanging timber panels - giving you a touch of privacy if required, with views of the courtyard in the hotel. The menu consists of many tasty Japanese morsels like sashimi, robata-grilled yakitori skewers and duck breast sukiyaki with tempura egg. There’s much to love about this trendy Japanese eatery. Best dish: Chef’s Sushi plate
