We had the Oyster tasting plate (2 of each flavour) which was fabulous value at 12 oysters for $38. The only minor issue was that the Frozen G&T shooter was warm and melted. The other oyster flavours were fantastic. The Little Blue Charcuterie plate was also great; being a bit more unusual with scallops, oysters and salmon included. Air-conditioning inside struggled a bit. We will be back to try the surf and turf and crayfish.

The ventilation is not good enough to have fresh air flow inside the restaurant

Best view of the city anywhere, cooler than others on a hot day...plus penguins. What more could you want?

We thoroughly enjoyed it. Main disadvantage for us was it was very noisy with a large party table in full voice. Will definitely use it again. Thanks G

Great spot at the end of the pier. Food good quality and good value. Really lovely service. Spotted penguins coming up the beach.

Sound system was a bit loud at times and made it difficult to hear across the table at times

Probably the best view of Melbourne city skyline anywhere along the coast... the penguins are a bonus. Reliable food and service and live music on weekends.

I had book a table booked for 14 well in advance - but when I arrived it was set only for 12. The service was pretty slow (over an hour from ordering til food arrived) and whilst that did not worry me too much, many in my group though were complaining. Also two meals were mixed up and served to the wrong people. When this was sorted out it seems that there was still a problem with one of the meals and what was ordered. Not quite sure of the details but I heard her saying something like "and when I got it it was not what I ordered"

About Little Blue Restaurant

Feeling Blue? This fascinating restaurant sits right in the middle of St Kilda pier, enjoying 360 degrees of stunning views! You can see everything from the glittering Melbourne city on one side and the great green expanse of the sea on the other. Little Blue Restaurant has been around since the 1800s, when the old building on the pier was converted into a restaurant. Tragically, the original structure was burnt down in 2003, but luckily for happy diners, it was restored again for us to enjoy well into the future. With windows all around, the interior is bright and airy, and from the outside, the restaurant looks like a charmingly restored blast from the past. Little Blue Restaurant plates up all of our Australian classics, like juicy burgers including a spectacular soft shell crab number, as well as mouth-watering battered seafood and grills. The do breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as share platters. If you’re down at Port Philip bay, you’ve got no excuse to not hit this place up. You might even spot a penguin or two! Best dish: the trevally
