Great service! Good food and wine list. Had an issue with a broken glass edge, but staff resolved it quickly.

Little Jean is a magnificent achievement for Double Bay. For the five years that it has been opened it has had an exemplary management and senior staff and if hiccoughs occur they deal with them seamlessly. The young man who was the Manager on Duty on Saturday is an excellent example of someone who has "grown into a job" over the "life" of Little Jean. Long may he and Little Jean continue

We enjoyed the meal. I think the luncheon menu is more interesting.

Little Jean has great food with a menu that changes from time to time, excellent staff and management and, as one of my guests said you can hear yourself talk. The eggplant was terrific as was the salmon crudo. Wine list could do with some enhancement

Staff are attentive and we were given the corner space for our pram and two highchairs. Food is generally over-priced though.

About Little Jean

Say hello to Little Jean Slotting in nicely to the backstreets of Double Bay is Little Jean. And yes, she is little, with just eighty seats in total. But despite its small space, she doesn’t feel squishy. Like the food, the decor is simple and modern with copper light fittings, white walls, timber finishes and branches in large vases making up much of the interior. Open for breakfast from 7am - and more importantly for coffee at 6:30am, Little Jean also offers lunch daily and is open for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday too. With About Life, Woolworths and The Golden Sheaf all within metres, foot traffic around this little gem is high, but there’s usually enough seats to go around. Sit inside and salivate over the cabinet of house-baked pastries, or dine outside where you will be kept warm by heaters in the winter and feel the sun streaming on your face come summer. This is a sleek and breezy venue that's perfect for intimate dinners, weekend brunches and family affairs. Come one, come all. Best Dish: Salmon, Cauliflower, tahini yoghurt, surmac, walnut, coriander
