I went for lunch on a Sunday - Got the feeling they just wanted to get you in an out as fast as they could. Hadn't really sat down when the lass came for our order, said we were still looking, 2 minutes later she was back. When the food arrived it all came together or only a few minutes apart. Food was good but rushed.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and give feedback David. Our service and wait staff are very attentive and I'm sorry to hear this meant you felt rushed. We do allow a standard seating of 2 hours for all reservations and we can always slow down our service when asked. The banquet menu is served in keeping with Chinese tradition - all dishes arriving to the table together. However we are more than happy to stagger the arrival of dishes and accommodate our guests preferences. We hope to welcome you back to Lotus Barangaroo in the near future.

Absolutely amazing modern asian food! So flavourful and fresh. The crispy scallop parcels, fried rice and crispy sweet and sour pork were delightful! Will definitely be going back! One of my new favourite places for modern asian cuisine!

Slack and inattentive service with very casual manners. The food was good but the slack service spoiled everything.

The staff recall your table being lovely and didn't realise you were unhappy - the manager who took your payment would have certainly done everything to turn your experience around had she known the service was too casual. Great food, service and a reasonable price. The fried rice with mustard seed was amazing and the long bao dumplings outstanding.

Food is fantastic. Banquet menu for 2 people at lunch, recommend. Could have eaten a little more but will definitely come again.

Always a pleasure to dine at Lotus when I visit Sydney. The menu is outstanding & the dumplings to die for and hard to look past.. it was a busy Friday lunch service, but again - glad I returned..

About Lotus Barangaroo

Historically Barangaroo was the home of the Gadigal people, traditional owners of the land. Aboriginal people made campsites located close to the shore especially during summer when fish and shellfish were the staple diet. Today, Barangaroo is the site of Sydney’s hottest urban renewal project. This development houses residential, retail, and business. It is also the heart of a thriving hospitality community.
