Delicious dumplings & duck pancakes. Reasonable wine list by the glass & bottle. My only concern is the bathrooms. Avoid if possible - I used the disabled facility as the other (unisex) was occupied. If I were disabled I'd be concerned for my safety. It's a hazard. Staff obviously use that bathroom as their change area & locker room. Backpacks were spewing out of the storage cupboard. Mop & bucket not safely stowed. Toilet roll empty. Needs a good clean up in there, Lotus!

Wine list is okay but pricey. Dumplings are delicious!

About Lotus Dumpling Bar

Historical Walsh Bay housed the whaling and trade ports of Sydney – it was colloquially known as the “Hungry Mile” in the depression years with droves congregating in hope of a day’s work. In current times the precinct still attracts droves of hungry mouths, but to a vibrant dining and theatre scene. The Lotus Dumpling Bar began life as a warehouse built in the early 1900s for the Sydney Port Authority. There are remnants of the past in this rustic space with its polished copper tones and beautifully exposed brickwork. Walsh Bay is where the old transforms into the new. At Dumpling Bar the service is professional and familiar, being a local favourite. We look forward to welcoming you to experience our original restaurant.
