We reserved for the New Years Eve diner which was a set menu. The welcome was pleasant and correct. The dishes themselves were disappointing. The half avocado with prawns and whiskey sauce as a starter was ok but also a very easy dish for the kitchen, nothing home-made. The main dish also was fantasy-less: either grilled goat, stuffed pork loin with plum, or monkfish with cooked vegtables and small potatoes. The goat was tasty and tender, the pork loin was very dry (over cooked) however. The gravy was obviously made from readymade powder. For dessert we had apple pie with ice cream. Nothing there to spoil I would say. Well, the apple pie was mediocre at most. We had much better elsewhere in Albufeira (bottom layer not baked). The service was kind and we had a very nice evening. The restaurant was packed. But if this menu was representative for the quality throughout the year , we would advise you to look further.
Extremely well decorated and well organised. Friendly and welcoming.
Great service very accomadating for a large group of 20 and food was a true hidden gem . I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in fine food for quality service.
Very good choice. Large portion sizes for the tourist menu of 13 euros. Would recommend
I had the Cataplana, the quantity was good, the taste good but I felt all the fish they used was very boney so we spent a lot of our time removing bones, we had the Cataplana somewhere else and the fish they used wasn’t that boney, so honestly it wasn’t pleasant taking a mouthful and then spending the next 2 minute removing all the bones.
Absolutely Charming. Atmosphere was amazing the Staff so friendly with spot on attention. The Restaurant spotless, the Wc’s immaculate This all added to the Great food This Place is NOT to missed. EXCELLENT .
Very good food and good prices
We enjoyed our starters of mixed and tomato with Mozzarela salad and ordered the Chicken Cataplana for our main. Unfortunately we did not realise that as this was a traditional dish the chicken was mainly the cheaper cuts and contained too much bone and skin for our liking. Pity as both the sauce and the potatoes which accompanied the dish were delicious. The manager took the time to explain this to us when he was advised that we did not enjoy the meal & his explanation was acceptable- after all not everyone likes haggis. We simply made a bad choice. We enjoyed the complimentary port which we where offered at the end of our meal and our only regret was that when we next tried to visit they were closed.Would certainly use in the future.
Excellent food and service. The staff are very attentive and well-trained. A small issue was quickly resolved to our full satisfaction. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we will certainly return very soon.
The steaks were well done, even though ordered medium rare and the fish cataplata tasted transformed. The waiters were charming and recomended good wines suitable for the food.
This place is amazing. The family are lovely and best of all the food and prices are lovely too.
Servive excellent. They even offered us a glass of porto after our meal.we had a perfect evening.
Lovely staff,beautiful food
Lovely restaurant with very friendly staff, great value for money and tasty fresh food
Nice and friendly staff. Good food for a reasonable price. Interior could be improved by adjusting the lighting.
Great food and really nice people, hopefully go back again soon.
One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Wonderful service!
A very typical regional restaurant, good food, good price - the waiters were really nice and made us feel welcome. Special thanks to Nuno who offered us a glass of Porto wine at the end. Definitely to repeat.
