Great good, friendly service. Unfortunately we had a very cramped table but we just made friends with our neighbours and made the best of it. Will definitely return.

Very noisy and not necessary to have the music on at all - or so loud

We we’re packed in like sardines - luckily they moved us from our original sitting at some bar stool but even the there was a table of 8 right on top and two more tables of 2 it just made it a place to eat - my friend and I had no desire to stay as it was so uncomfortable and even going to the bathroom was tricky! I’ve only eaten here during the week which is much nicer - I will never book again for a weekend - and the wine list is way to overpriced

Lox Sock is very different at night compared to the day menu - it really is great food and a good night out. However, the seats that are ok at best for quicker daytime meals are extremely uncomfortable for lengthy dinners that you're paying a lot of money for. It also gets really noisy with all the doors/windows shut during winter but that said, the food is superb so we'll be back!

About Lox Stock and Barrel

Lox Stock & Barrel is a cozy, forty seat Deli Diner located in one of the last remaining old pockets of Sydney’s, Bondi Beach. Lox is open for breakfast & lunch 7 days and dinner 4 nights a week. Our approach to food is that it should be healthy, delicious and something that you feel like eating. This is where our interpretation of the modern deli idea has come from. A delicatessen means “something delicious to eat”, i.e food without pretension, food that is simple to prepare, cooked from the heart, using what’s good, abundant and in season. Influenced by the best loved dishes of our ancestors from pre-war Europe, the food is Jewish in origin, but the inspiration is definitely the best of local, seasonal produce and satisfying, balanced eating. We run the kitchen as close to ‘farm to plate’ as possible. Our customers and friends share our food values – we all want to be connected to our food.
