Wonderful ambience, food and service!
We went to Luca‘s Rooftop Restaurant for a romantic dinner during our vacation. The food was very good, especially the seafood was delicious and really fresh. But the two main reasons we will definitely make time for another visit are the spectacular view of the Atlantic coast and the super friendly, funny and very attentive staff. We felt comfortable the whole time and look forward to our next meal!
The food was delicious, and the service was hilarious. Our waiter was really funny and joked a lot but very attentive and gave us excellent recommendations for food. We were stuffed full of seafood and thought the bill was going to be huuuuge, but it was very reasonable. Highly recommend.
I really enjoyed the Luca's special black angus steak but my husband's salmon was very over seasoned with salt. The cocktails were very good, especially the espresso martini.
Fantastic food and lovely views.
Overall, the waiting staff didn’t seem vert efficient. I had water from the ice bucket poured over me and the table, the couvert was forgotten as were my husband’s side of chips to go with his steak. Trying to be high end restaurant but needs improvement.
Food was delicious, price was reasonable was excellent.
very nice restaurant, good service, tasty food
The food we had was lovely, soup and mussels for starters. Was recommended a kebab of fish and seafood which was lovely, my partner had peppercorn steak, which he loved, but the service was ok but clinical.
We read reviews about slow service none of which we experienced. Food was excellent. Filipe our server knowledgeable and gracious. Our view capped off the evening—a full moon over the quiet ocean. Highly recommend Luca’s. Underrated as well worth a visit.
Lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting with great food
Great staff, extraordinary view... and the food, 10! We will come again for sure. Food, wine and the desert just awesome. The city lights near the ocean made the dinner a great experience!
We were greeted and seated quickly and politely but then abandoned for 20 minutes before we even got a drink order taken and that was only because we asked! The vegetarian option was utterly uninspired to the point of funny, plain couscous with few bits of aubergine dropped in it. Can't believe they have so little imagination that a few spices couldn't have been thrown in. Dreadful. My friend had to send his meal back as the meat was dry and inedible, the replacement was freshly cooked but they obviously thought they could get away with just sending out food that had sat drying out for who knows how long. The other two meals were okay but instantly forgettable. It has a beautiful view but wouldn't go back.
Setting good. Service, to start with good, but never asked if we wanted a dessert. Food not stunning, but ok and fairly priced. Patronising when it come to paying the bill when the cashier translated every item. Would I recommend the restaurant - yes.
Very limited seating with a view. Perhaps five or six tables out of forty. Don’t go for the view. The service was very disappointing. We ordered a dry red which the waiter decanted and walked away with the bottle (???). Turns out he only poured half the bottle and stole the rest for himself. Unbelievable for a restaurant with the ratings it has, but there you go. We wouldn’t eat there again.
Luca's Rooftop Restaurant
Good morning Mr Guy S, Thank you in advance for your comment and for taking the time to do so, but let me correct that we have 35 tables inside the room of which 10 have a privileged view, we have also 20 tables on the balcony all with sea view . Let´s now talk about what is more importante to me, the wine situation , the employee in question is a trainee for what he is learning and not having done the correct procedure leave the bottle on the table, I am sure he did not do it intentionally, but because of the inexperience. We all had our learning, no one´s born knowing everything. Here is my invitation for a new visit where I will offer you the bottle of wine in question and I will be pleased to serve you. Antonio Martins F&B Manager
Location, service and food all fantastic. Highly recommend. Have been to many restaurants in Lagos and this place me is by far one of the best. Will hopefully return.
Lovely food, best I’ve had so far in Portugal. We both had the pork loin which was delicious , then strawberry cheesecake which was enough to share. Reasonable prices , house wine 3.50 a glass.
On arrival we were given a nice table with a lovely sea view. Our waiter was attentive but a little over the top. On his recommendation I was pre sold a king prawn starter which although very nice turned out to be €33 for 1 king prawn. No prior indication of the cost was given by the waiter. Bread and olives were brought as a starter for the table but without any side plates. The bread was not fresh. The mains in general were OK but to put onto context two steaks in peppercorn sauce were a little more than the cost of my one king prawn starter? One quality of one sea bream main was disappointing in terms of weight of fish. The side of vegetables did not appear even though we were assured they were on the way. My grandaughtes beefburger was overdone and like rubber. ( I was shocked to hear a lady on the table behind us had paid €180 for a full lobster.) A complaint to the manager regarding our meal saw a 10% discount on the bill which was little compensation Overall a very disappointing family holiday evening meal booked on the basis of previous ratings. I'm afraid I will not be returning
The reataurant is on the 4th floor of the Carvi hotel and has good views over the sea. Great for evening meal or a lunch. Can be a little windy, but blankets are provided. Parking available outside but can be busy with beach goers. Service excellent - Filipe was really good, knowledgable and friendly. The food was fab, mixed grill, lobster and child chicken dish. Would recommend. And nice to wander on the beach after (easy to get to but lots of steps).
One hour after our arrival first plate was not delivered. On my remark, instead of apologizing and explain, the manager just underlined that 50 min is acceptable so I have to shut up. After theta in course we ask for the dessert menu. We are still waiting ... on top of this they billed a bottle of water that they forgot to deliver to us ... and the music was too loud. Such a bad experience ...
