Wagyu beef tartare with egg yolk, smoked daikon, caper leaves & porcini crackers
Service started ok but got worse as restaurant got busier. Forgot our side dish after we asked twice. Didn’t seem to care gave us a side we didn’t order and charged us. It used to be good but not so now. Food was just ok.
The previous visit was excellent. However, this time there was a function in half the restaurant and both service and food were disappointing. Unlikely to return.
Great service and delicious food. Quite expensive for the quality of food received. Wouldn’t make it a regular place but ok for once in a while, as there are plenty of alternatives nearby with equal or better offerings at better value.
Amazing food loved the crab Pasta and squid pasta
On arrival, there was no record of our booking that I had booked through a separate entity. But we were accommodated straight away and given a great table. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. A great night.
Lovely evening, great food.
My favourite restaurant in Paddington! Elegant, wonderful art on the walls, impeccable service and great food and wine! Not cheap but worth every penny! Lucio’s is magnificent! But I am not overfond of the beans!
It's our "neighbourhood gem" ... we've never been disappointed. Grazie mille.
Good food and drinks. Service was attentive. The highlight of the night was the pasta dish. All in all, a pleasant dining experience.
We have been going to Lucio’s for some years. The food is always great and the service has been quietly attentive; just what you like. However, our last two visits have been spoiled by a very loud waiter, who has seemed more interested in over eloquent descriptions of the food rather than keeping the wine and water topped up. May not go again. Sad!
Excellent service and perfect food, a great combination.
Pasta was delicious!
Brilliant service - (catered for me as a vegetarian: AMAZING veggie pasta dish - now going on their menu!) Fantastic wine list /top service and zucchini flowers to die for!!! We will be back sooner rather than later! J Ashbee

Food, wine & art
Lucio's has been serving exceptional Italian cuisine with a northern influence on this leafy Paddington corner since 1983. A constant recipient of numerous awards over the years, Lucio's continues to be recognised by critics, and enjoyed by customers for the fresh pasta made daily on the premises, traditional northern Italian cuisine (sometimes with a twist), outstanding service and attention to detail and eclectic wine list. The site originally housed the Hungry Horse Art Gallery and Restaurant, renowned for both excellent food and avante-garde contemporary art with such greats as John Olsen, Colin Lancley and Robert Hughes (before he decided he was more suited to the road of the art critic). Lucio has co-incidentally continued this harmonious tradition with great food and stunning Australian art.
Best dish: mirrool creek lamb backstrap wrapped in silver beet served with cannellini bean purée, roast cipollini & watercress
