Maccaroni Trattoria Italiana

Wow, wow, wow ! Stunning Italian food. We shared bruschetta for a starter which was fresh and tasty. And then for main course I had the Pappardelle with Funghi (Mushrooms) with Truffle Sauce Parsley and a touch of Cream - seriously the best pasta I've had for decades - melted in your mouth and was delicious. My friend had the lasagne which she enjoyed. Desserts were good and amazingly well priced ! And drinks were also well priced.

Really nice food and dim lit with candles was romantic. However service could be more attentive we were behind a pillar and other people who ate later had plates cleared and ordered desserts before us. Will be back

Some of our group of 5 arrived a little early and they let us wait before the table was available. They also gave us options for where to sit even though it was busy. Everything was served quickly, great flavoured food and even our vegan guest was impressed with the options!

Honestly cannot fault our experience! The food was delicious, we were especially impressed with the arancini. Service was attentive without being annoying and our waiters actually listened to what we asked for and followed through on everything. The atmosphere is cosy and romantic. Can't wait to return!

The score would have been 10/10 if the greeting we received was better. Arrived on time for our booking to be greeted by a staff member who seemed unimpressed that we were there due to The Fork Festival discount. Was made to wait for a booking that was made in advance which seemed very odd. After we were seated everything was much better. The waitress was fantastic, the entrees and main courses and dessert were delicious, and the cocktails/drinks menu was great. The setting felt funky, being located down a little laneway, with an eye catching bar area. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will go back again. The food is definitely worth the full price that is charged.

Service was fantastic. Gnocchi was more on the rubbery side. Cabonara was great. Affogato amazing! Tiramisu was a little dry and could do with more coffee or brandy intensity.

We had such a lovely meal. Everything was delicious. The staff was excellent. Very friendly and prompt service. We will definitely go back again!

Great food and great value with the Fork Festival. Friends were very satisfied with the pasta and dessert. Just a bit long in waiting time. Will definitely come back...

I always enjoy my time at Maccaroni Trattoria, and this time was as amazing. Knowing there's usually a vibrant atmosphere, in my booking I requested to be seated upstairs where it is a little quieter. That was perfect for a date. The little touches like the candles on the table and the beautiful quote on the wall result in feelings of warmth and welcome in the restaurant. Service was attentive and helpful in suggesting some drinks for us. We ordered moscato and a signature cocktail, and for food; the truffle parpadelle and bacon pizza, which we enjoyed. My go-to is always the truffle pasta, but I told myself that I should explore the menu next time! ;) Love the humour shown in the getting to the bathroom.

The restaurant was warm and cozy and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and were good portion sizes. We would definitely go again. Enjoyed our night out.
