We love Mexican food, and this was a great find! We had maiz white corn for the first time and it was absolutely amazing, best Elote I've had to date! Tacos were great too, and the nachos on the table next to us smelt absolutely amazing haha we will be back for sure!

Fantastic, authentic and fun hidden gem, such friendly and welcoming and professional staff. Love the margaritas and tastes of Mexico. Perfect pre show dinner. Looking forward to our next visit soon

Really great find! Delicious food and friendly, relaxed service. Unfortunately, we had to run to a show so we had to skip desert. Will definitely be back for another meal with desert, this time.

A really great authentic Mexican restaurant with welcoming staff, fast service, reasonable prices and excellent food. Well located in the Arts precinct and perfect for a pre-show meal

No other place for Mexican food like this one. The food tastes just as authentic and delicious as in Mexico, plus the portion sizes are huge! Worth the price of each dish. Not to mention the incredible service from the staff, everyone is very friendly and we even good an explanation from the head chef about the signature dish which is the tamal de mole. Totally recommend it .

Menu was incredible- so many great options. Staff was incredibly sweet. Only wish is that the food & drinks came out a little bit faster (but it’s still a fairly new place so this is understandable) & that seating was a little more private. All in all, fabulous place and we will certainly be returning.

A hidden gem. Authentic Mexican food, prepared with great passion & served by staff who loved sharing the flavours which remind them of their homeland. White corn cob & tacos are highly recommended. I will definitely go back.

The food was absolutely delicious! We had a selection of starters and tacos to share for a group of 4 which worked great so we got to try lots of things. The staff were very friendly, though it got a bit busy by the peak dinner hour so if you're in a rush this is perhaps not the best place. Would definitely go again!

Authentic Mexican tacos, with a guacamole that has exactly what you want in taste and texture. To be greeted by a big smile right at the door, and that the service continues to be top notch throughout the evening is something few restaurants today live up to, Maíz y Cacao Mexican restaurant succeeded very well with that. A bit boring decor in the restaurant, but it will surely get better over time.
