Food was not great and the service was average
A great place in the city to visit - cool bar and good service. Food was good but some dishes a bit too much going on and flavours not blending.
Food was a bit hit and miss - of the degustation of 6 courses only really enjoyed 3 of them. Some of the food was overly rich
Food and service was great. Nice room.
Malt Bar is my favorite bolt hole in the Brisbane CBD for a quick lunch meeting.
Really enjoyed the food - I'll be back!
Great service and food. Beef cheeks were too salty, but otherwise we enjoyed the experience.
I love Malt and the oysters
Generous portion on the lamb :) went for a birthday celebration and had a great time!
We had the 6 course degustation and every dish was delicious plus the service was first class.
Unfortunately 2 of our meals were poorly cooked and no one checked on us until we had finished trying to find a good pice to eat.mone of friends could not fault her meal. My entree of cured cod was delicious but everything after that was a fail.
The food was great and I loved the cozy and historical setting of the restaurant. The menu choice was a bit narrow but the quality of what was on the menu was great.
I am always looking for restaurants when I am in Brisbane. I am so glad I found Malt (one tip, get some Grappa in for next time:-))
Quite noisy, so difficult to have conversations. Green veg, kale, I think, was very tough. Barramundi was lovely. Pork collar was a bit tough. Wait staff didn't have idea of beer menu.
Absolutely amazing place, the food was superb and the service was excellent. We’ve been there before and we’ll definitely be back again. One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had.
Nice atmosphere. Mains were nice but too many unnecessary flavours put on the plate. Would have been a lot nicer if it was kept simple as the complexity of flavours didn’t really work in a great way so was scrapping most of it off my steak. Drink and entree wasn’t that great either. No complementary services, like a small birthday dessert, which you could expect at other similar price point restaurants despite also explicitly noting down when booking and it wasn’t even that busy since there was only one other table apart from us. Probably would not go back for the food but maybe back for the atmosphere, maybe.
This is the third time that i have been here. The food was very salty this time which was very disappointing as the other times it was faultless. If it weren't for the fact that I'd had two other faultless experiences i wouldn't be back.
Delicious food. Feels like a top quality restaurant without the pompous feel. Can be rather noisy on busy nights.
Amazing service and very welcoming as soon as we arrived for our reservation. Will definitely return! Thank you for a great night.
