Marion is my favourite place to eat in Melbourne the food is amazing fresh and uncomplicated, the menu is straight forward great location and excellent service. It’s a pleasure to dine at Marion.
Beautiful neighbourhood gem!
Amazing food and ambience!
Great place, thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. Definitely will go back!
Amazing food, would love go back again
Good food and service - octopus entree was a bit average, mussels main a winner
Had a great dinner at Marion. Loved the food and service. Love the idea of the open kitchen as well.
Great service and great food, but the tables are too close to one another.
The food was excellent.
Amazing wine list. Small dishes that are a bit pricey. But certainly worth it. Excellent atmosphere.
Thankyou for catering to our dietary needs ( coeliac heaven) and for such lovely service and food. One of the best lunches for years.
These were delicious: Heritage carrot salad; Roast chicken; Napoleon lager. Service was great too.
Lovely night out with friends.
Excellent food and service. Portions were larger than expected.
Lovely spot for a late lunch. Food for sharing just delicious and the staff were so helpful
Bit expensive but good wines.
Great place with extensive wine list.
Food was very very good
Food didn’t live up to the high standards. Wine menu is top class and has extensive list. Table was to small to dine at. Atmosphere was ok. More of a wine bar than a place to enjoy a good meal for the price they are charging.
The food was not good value for money- eg Credu flavour was too subtle, pork neck needs to be really good quality cuts of meat if it is to be served rare. Drinks good. Service good. Very noisy. They should definitely install noise abatement devices like other restaurants with hard surfaces are doing eg noise absorption objects on ceiling and probably walls, foam under chairs, like at SuperMaxi in St Georges Rd Fitzroy North.

Spread across two shopfronts Andrew McConnell’s Marion is the kind of place where you can pause for a glass of wine, or sink a few bottles over the course of the evening - the choice is entirely yours.
The lengthy wine list features a number of small producers and exciting blends, and you can expect exciting drops covering the breadth and depth of the winemaking world. We're not the only ones who think the wine list is excellent; Marion was lucky enough to be awarded The Age Wine List of the Year in 2016.
The food menu is seasonal and is always on the move with both small and large sharing plates available; think oysters, stracciatella, pasta tortellini, half roast chicken and whole flounder (just to name a few).
Inside, Marion's decor is simple and chic, with whitewashed brick walls, comfortable leather seats, dark wood paneling and a bustling open kitchen. Whatever the occasion, whether you’re popping in for a quick drink and a snack or staying for the long haul, Marion can cater. We love sitting in the main window and watching the world go by - a glass of wine in hand of course!
