The food was amazing, best meat I've eaten in a long time. Dips were also really nice. Staff were great. Over all really nice. Would definitely go back.
Nice people, extremely accommodating - had kiymali pide, spinach and fetta spring rolls, calamari. All excellent, calamari done perfectly which has not always been the case at other restaurants. Recommend highly.

A delightful culinary adventure amidst quaint surroundings
We always love going to Marmara. And as usual our meals this time was very good. Our one minor disappointment was that the meat dishes were lukewarm when served. Perhaps they had been sitting for a while beforehand.
We had the Classic Banquet which was delicious and generous. Great value for money. Everyone enjoyed their meal and couldn't ask for more. Staff were helpful and polite.
Disappointed was not made aware that they have the first lot of reservations from 6pm till 8pm and second lot of reservations from 8pm till closing time. I beleive it was the owner that approached us and asked us if we were Turkish and we said no. I do not know why he asked us if we were Turkish. Than told us to hurry up and order our deserts and coffee and to quickly eat it as our table was booked for 8pm. We canceled our order and left and went somewhere else
Second visit almost a year apart. Quality and service as impressive as I remember =) Thank you to the dedicated Marmara team for another memorable dinning experience.

Been here many times, we drive for an hour to eat at Marmara, Bottom line, the food and service are faultless, my favourite restaurant in all of Melbourne and I’ve eaten at hundreds of them.
Great food and lovely ambience
The food is flavoursome and good variety of on offer. The roast capsicum and the pides are especially good. The dips and bread are a great staple and the food came out pretty quickly. A nice spot for decent Turkish grub.
Totally enjoyed our dinner. Wait staff was very helpful with our menu choices for food and wine. Food was excellent and pace was great. We were also left alone for a bit to relax and finish our wine before dessert (which was also fantastic!).
Food was tasty and cooked well. Friendly staff and good ambience.

Away from the bustling retail end of Chapel Street, you will find Marmara Turkish Restaurant, one of Australia’s oldest Turkish restaurants.
