Have been dining at Mecca Bah for years, really like the atmosphere but more importantly the food, always fresh and tasty, would highly recommend their restaurants.
We were not happy to be moved from the air-conditioned section of the restaurant to the enclosed in plastic muggy hot section. I will not be going back.
The food was different and delicious served in a friendly manner. We were outside and a little hot but very lovely setting. Great for groups Pricing reasonable but better with special offer
Food was quite nice just a little pricey for what we got. I wouldn’t say stay away but I think you think can better value for money elsewhere in the area.
The food is amazing. During busier periods the restaurant can seem a little hectic, but service and food didn’t suffer. We come here often it’s a firm favourite.
Food was amazing. Service was great. Restaurant was full but didn’t have to wait long for food. The only thing missing for me was music. Other than that, I’d definitely go again.
Fantastic place. Was the best meal I’ve had in a while!
Food was Fantastic, portion sizes generous Overall ambiance was pleasant..... if only the waite staff were as Fantastic, seemed as customers were a inconvenience. Will definitely go back for the FOOD !!
We’ve been to Mecca Bah several times and it never disappoints. Good quality food at reasonable prices in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. We’ll be back
Wonderfully fresh food with amazing flavour. Attentive staff, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Nice to go on a Monday evening when not crowded. Good wine list, and a great array of food for everyone.
Great 'old school' service. Nice atmosphere. Good advice on what to order for 3 persons wanting to share.
Delicious food & friendly service
It was cold inside, service was quite ordinary considering it was not a busy evening and the place lacked in ambience I can't even remember if there was music playing. I was really looking forward trying out Mecca Bah hoping for a more middle eastern ambience, our table looked like a camping table, no effort what so ever. I even asked for a nice table when I did the booking because it was my son's birthday, that just got completely ignored, not happy.... the only ambient thing was the dimmer egg lamp. Food was good, not great but good enough for me to return for maybe lunch some day.
well Fork when we arrived there was no record of our booking so why are you asking me for feedback? Fortunately the lovely staff found us a table and we had an enjoyable meal. the wait staff were friendly and happily changed a menu item for one of us. Next time I'll make the booking directly with the restaurant. by the way I am guessing the spend because i didn't pay.
We had a group of adults, teenagers and kids, as well as some food allergies. The staff were very helpful and made sure everyone was catered for. The food was sensational (as always). My favourite restaurant on the coast.
This place has a great little spot in Broadbeach. We sat outside and the ambience was lovely with the gas heaters and fairy lights on the streets. We ordered a jug of the lychee cocktail to share which was amazing. The Turkish bread with the dips was so soft and tasty. 3 mezze and the mixed grill was ample food if you are very hungry.
Thank you very much. We are very pleased we picked this restaurant for our birthday celebration.
I did not like the food had no flavour and the meat and chicken was not cooked well.
Great food and service. Love coming here!
18-26 Charles Ave, 4218, Broadbeach (QLD), Australia
Make the pilgrimage One of three Queensland venues for the chain, Mecca Bah Gold Coast is right on the buzzing Broadbeach strip, perfect for a night out watching the beautiful people go by. Featuring cuisine from Morocco and Turkey and the Middle East, it’s a great place to go with a group as you get to do as they recommend: share. That would mean you get to try the hummus with spiced lamb, pine nuts and herbs with za’atar bread, the Moroccan potato cakes filled with goats cheese, and the aked haloumi with pomegranate and mint salad. Then you move on to the lamb sfiha (open pastry with spiced lamb). You’ll also want to leave room for a traditional tagine – perhaps the seafood with barramundi, mussels and local prawns, or the beef with ras el hanout spices, sweet potatoes, carrot and preserved fig. You’ll also want to sample one of the Turkish, Moroccan or Lebanese beers on offer, unless of course one of the cocktails takes your fancy. Best dish: baharat spiced lamb shish for two
