Considering you’re in the heart of darling harbour with beautiful surroundings and views and the fact that it is BYO with pleasant staff and reasonably priced bill made it a very pleasant evening for the eight of us. I’ll be back.

We were a group and had the set menu. The food, drinks and service were all fantastic. The ambience is lovely with a great ground view of the Harbour.

The food was amazing, the only issue was the fireworks that happened when I was there were really loud, but that isn't to do with the restaurant

Great food and the gluten free pizza base was so good we had to check twice.

The food was very bland! The skewers were the worst, literally no seasoning in the meat.

We visited Mediterranean in early August which we had secured a 50% off dining voucher via The Fork which was a great deal. The food was wonderful, very large portions and value for money. Lots of options on the drinks menu. The wait staff were very accommodating to move us inside from the gale winds Sydney was experiencing that week. I would recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Sydney or want to show off this beautiful city to guests.

Nice food but it gets a bit cold inside the restaurant during winter.

The food was delicious and served quickly. The service could be improved, as it wasn't as busy.

2 Lovely genuine waitresses who liked to provide best service possible. Loved the perfectly grilled & tasty Spatchcock, let down by an average Spaghetti marinara. Overall gr8. Thank you

Felt like a restaurant that may get a lot of tourist rather than locals, we went on a Tuesday night so it wasn’t packed. We had a 50% off voucher for food, luckily cos I wouldn’t have paid full price for the meals. The meals were not bad, but it wasn’t fantastic where I would come again. It was a good meal.

Ordered pretty much all of the entrees for our group of 9 and they were enjoyed by everyone. Wood fire pizzas and Pide was also very tasty. Nice view of Darling Harbour at night was a bonus.

We liked the food. It was tasty. The menu is quite extensive and there are many drinks options. We booked special with 50% off food but drinks were full price. Tiramisu for dessert was super tasty. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner.

About the restaurant

Sydney Harbour transformed to the Mediterranean

A slice of the Mediterranean with the influence of Modern Australia comes to Darling Harbour! Inspired by the idyllic coastal flavours of Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Morocco, Turkey and the surrounding islands, Mediterranea Restaurant reimagines the atmosphere and cuisine in an experience that promotes the good life of food.

The kitchen delivers simple food done well, plated and served to work in harmony with the communal atmosphere, open air and waterfront views. Farm-fresh produce, seafood and locally sourced ingredients are the heroes of freshly cooked dishes created from scratch, to produce masterpieces such as housemade pastas, wood fired pizza, pide and chargrilled skewers.

The pleasures of relaxed dining will hit the spot where groups of every size are always welcome. If you ever need a place to impress that special someone, take it from the experts and look no further.
