We ordered the seafood crepe which was served with an amazing sauce. Then for mains we got asian greens and clams cooked in beer.
What a lovely place to spend the evening out with friend. The shared plate was so good and so were the mains. We were also very pleased to have a table with the view of spice alley below.
Lovely restaurant and great food. Amok curry was the highlight.
the dishes were interesting dishes that I have not tasted before and the flavours were nice, some of the dishes with one chilli were a bit hotter than I expected. the desserts were the standout, however, they did not seem like asian flavours
The flavours were exceptional and wide ranging. Will definitely be back. Atmosphere, staff were engaging and service was efficient and friendly on a Thursday evening.
We ordered pork ribs and clams- both dishes are tasty! Staffs are friendly and service is good.
Attentive and very friendly service and good ambiance. Tasty food esp mixed entree plate and amok curry. Will definitely come back to try other dish. Well done guys????
We had a warm welcome from staff from the beginning. Ordering was a breeze, and the food that came out was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely be back
very good service, and very good foods, reasonable portions, I’m thai and the taste of the food is just intense enough for me. will definitely come back again very soon
Always a good time, food is fantastic!
Great food, good service, excellent ambience.
Booked and arrived but restaurant is closed without notice
Sensational! High quality and full sensory experience. Having been to amazing restaurants in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Mekong is right up there with them. The wait staff was friendly and obliging. Have already plan to return.
Wow! The food was amazing, everything was flavourful. I would recommend the entree platter to try a bit of everything and the Amok curry. Service was excellent, the waitress was friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back to try more of the curries!
I was so lucky to tried this place for half price. This restaurant is just amazing, I’ve tried so many restaurants but it’s hard to say every food I ordered was good and I can finally say everything we ordered was so good and flavorful! I can tell every ingredients are so fresh and handled really well. Plus the service is really good too. The restaurant was getting busy at the time but nothing was missing or making us wait, everything were served so well by very kind waitresses! I’ll Definitely be back soon!
This restaurant could have been on the hat list of Sydney, still wondering why its not in the list yet. A bit more attention to detail (water refilling, bit wait on food) might help in the future. Overall was a great dinner experience
Food was excellent, great flavours. The staff could not be any more helpful. Loved the setting & atmosphere. Will definitely be back to try their other dishes.
Great food for the deal however the cocktails lacking options and variety.
Food was good but wasn't amazing. The duck pancakes are awful compared to other Asian restaurants. Everything else was ok, reasonable serving sizes and a nice atmosphere.
Wow what a great find - we found through trip advisor and we will def be back. Great atmosphere the staff were service with a smile. The food was outstanding every mouthful was a burst of flavour! Couldn't recommend enough for a Meal is a must!

A journey down the Mekong.
Housed within the new ultra trendy Kensington St precinct in Chippendale, Mekong is paying homage to the flavours of south east Asia. Just imagine yourself embarking on a colourful journey down the Mekong river, sailing past gilded pagodas and rice paddies and through lush jungles. This restaurant is peaceful and refined, offering sophisticated Asian fare that is both beautiful and flavourful. Enjoy share plates and a number of beautiful desserts that are curious and complex.
Menu highlights include ‘Duck at Sunrise’: confit duck laid on red Thai curry with fresh tomato and pineapple and the ‘Spice of the omelette: crispy Lao omelette stuffed with sliced pork, morning glory and soy-chilli sauce.
The dessert menu is also delicious and the signature three-tiered dessert of rosewater lychee mousse, mango puree and meringue drops, flecked with elderflower, rose petal and raspberries is definitely worth saving room for.
Come and explore this venue and take a trip down the Mekong.
