Very good
Food was average for the price we paid for the banquet. We requested 3 different drinks and said they didn't have it so we just had what was available. Also getting our desserts was delayed by the time we asked they said it was coming and the one we wanted out or the 2 available for the banquet they didn't have any left we would of appreciated a complimentary drink or food and service was ok. Was dissatisfied that we walked down the street to another restaurant to have more dessert.
We arrived and had to wait 30 min for our table as it wasn’t ready (guests weren’t told to leave). For $70 per person the food was very average. They could have put some more expensive options in the mix e,g fresh seafood (not just a tiny bowl of fried calamari). Didn’t feel we got any bang for our buck. The dessert was terrible. They didn’t have enough staff. The staff service was lovely though. It took long periods between food, we were falling asleep at the table and weren’t able to enjoy the night. We arrived at 8:30pm and left at 11:30...
The food was top quality and served promptly. The owner and staff provided excellent service. The overall atmosphere and experience was awesome. I will definetly go there again.
Cons; Had to wait for about 10 mins for service at the table even though waitresses were floating around, felt ignored. The heater was one causing the atmosphere to be too warm and uncomfortable. Pros; maître de tried to overcome lack of service with a free glass of bubbly, food was still the same quality. Please do something about the service.
Good food and atmosphere was great. Beautiful breeze from the semi open rooftop and lovely Melbourne CBD views. Staff very friendly. Great little hidden Greek Australian restaurant. Highly recommend.
The place was average and so was the food. The waitress was lovely. Very chatty and helpful! Just disappointed with the food and premises. The website photos are also misleading.
Amazing venue, excellent food and top service
The food was, amazing, staff really friendly and the setting was perfect. My only issue was the fact that it's way too overpriced for what the food is.
Was really looking forward to comming here with interstate visitors. Was embarassed and disappointed. We had the banquet for 4 people. It was barely enough for 2 people. There is a 15% surcharge on sundays. Our bill was $350. We could have gone across the road to Stalactites and eaten 3 times and been satisfied. Im surprised this place is even still operating.
Second visit was somewhat disappointing, perhaps a quieter crowd due to the public holiday so atmosphere wasn’t the same and quality of food wasn’t the same as last time as well.
Hidden away in the city gem. It was great have the views of the city from your chair. There were some great Mezze choices and the food delicious and service prompt. Would go again.
When the door is open to the outside, an annoying draft sweeps through the restaurant. They need to find a solution for this. Otherwise, very enjoyable meal.
All the dishes we tried were fresh and delicious, and the city view was lovely
This rooftop Greek restaurant was magical! Between the fairy lights, the view of the city, the amazing food (Risoni and prawns are to die for) and the outstanding service from the friendly and happy wait staff! Very engaging and absolutely will go back asap!!!
Everything was very nice, especially the music. We ordered 4 different ‘mezzes’/salads to share and all were delicious. Just try to avoid going on a 40+ degrees day as it is located on the rooftop and can get very hot.
Had a great time, food and service was excellent! The staff were great and live music was a nice touch. Perfect setting for a birthday dinner.
Amazing location, excellent food and great service. Definitely worth the visit. The dishes are well presented and most importantly delicious. The octopus is unreal
We had a fabulous end of year break up lunch at Melina on the rooftop. The food was incredible and service fantastic. We will definitely be back! What a great venue

Dine on high at Melina
Named after Greek actress Melina Mercouri who went on to become the first female Minister for Culture in Greece, Melina on the Rooftop offers a bird’s eye view of the CBD, plus great food and service.
The menu is a magical fusion of contemporary Mediterranean flavours and stunning Greek classics. Pop in for breakfast and dive into the stunning 'village eggs' which comes with poached eggs, fresh tomato, fetta and asparagus. Or come come for lunch or dinner and enjoy something more substantial... the picked octopus is just divine and the BBQ lamb skewers melt in your mouth good. They've also got an excellent drinks list for those on the hunt for an after work beverage.
Whatever you're in the mood for, Melina can cater.
Best dish: grilled chorizo tossed with caramelized onion and haloumi cheese.
