This local restaurant offers excellent Portuguese food, excellent service, and is clearly a very important part of the local community, with the majority of the guests being local families. The restaurant was full by 20:30, so do make a reservation. This restaurant does not have a terrace, or views across the Douro valley, but it does have a superb chef, who cares deeply about the food he prepares, and his customers, checking personally that everyone is happy. The food is very good value for money, we would recommend the ham hock, or veal. Both melt in the mouth, with lots of flavour.

This little restaurant is a literal gem. Chef Manuel Vieira and his team are certain to make a splash. This restaurant is definitely worth a LARGE detour.

Family meal Veal, grilled swordfish and octopus, all excellent. Large range of deserts and fruit. Friendly service. Really recommend it.

great food , very nice service and some very nice free drinks on the house , especially the liquor afterwards :) will be coming back for sure
