The Degustation menu was fabulous & the service was excellent. Highly recommended. Parking in the area can be challenging so suggest Uber or taxi.
The restaurant is great, the service is impeccable and the food exquisite. Highly recommend for for a romantic, celebratory or a catch up with m
Excellent food, great presentation. Decent service. Quite empty at the time but it was a Tuesday night after all. On the expensive side but lovely food
Everything about the evening was amazing. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent.
Excellent meal and service you could not fault anything, truly a special experience, staff were well versed in the menu and the matching wines were paired perfectly
Absolutely faultless, from the food, to the service and the wonderful atmosphere.
Tonight we had the absolute pleasure of dining at Metisse. From the second we walked through the door we were welcomed into an atmosphere that was as welcoming as if we had walked into an old friends house. We had our puppy, an assistances dog, with us who was treated like a celebrity the entire night. We had the Journey option paired with wine and opted for the caviar to start. The food was mind blowing to say the least. Every bite left you wanting more. This was a true culinary experience to remember and a well crafted adventure through every aspect of the menu. In simple terms, WOW WOW WOW. Will be back!
Metisse was a rare find indeed. From the welcoming at the door as we walked in, to our table. We were initially in the middle of the room and asked to move to another table and that was done without effort and they moved all our drinks for us. The food was sublime from the degustation menu as well as the matching wines. At the end of the night, we met the family from Opel to his wife and daughters. A family affair that they are proud of and so should be.
Excellent menu, quality and service - a very nice restaurant serving modern french fine dining and bistro unique dishes.
Best French cuisine in Sydney. 5 course degustazione menu with matching wines is incredible value @$100 per head. Cannot wait to return.
Amazing food made by an amazing chef and complimented by the service/atmosphere. A familiar feel.
An absolutely superbly prepared degustation. The service was also excellent. A worthy visit!
Wonderful Restaurant, Beautiful Food, Excellent Service! Thank you so much for making my birthday so memorable. We shall definitely come again! Everything was superb from being greeted to the beautiful food, ambiance, exceptional service. We were made to feel welcome and had a fabulous time! Thank you!
Fantastic! Can’t wait to go back.
Exceptional - everything about our experience here was exceptional . The food is fabulous, the space is lovely without being over the top or intimidating and the service is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. And the value is amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
An enjoyable evening with a good value degustation menu and will return to try a la carte menu and practise my French. Positive comments. A nice relaxed atmosphere. Greeted at door and brought to table. Floor staff attentive at beginning of night. Was not rushed to eat meal or clear table by 9pm which was a pleasant surprise. Quality of food overall good and well cooked. A nice touch to meet the chef at the table. Negative comments. For degustation poor timing between provision of food and wines. Not co-ordinated. Sometimes wine first then several minutes later the meal arrived. Other times the reverse. Scallops overcooked and rubbery. Presentation of food good but a bit too much monotone browns and not multi textural. Would be nice served with some extra colour and more vegetables/fruit, even with splashes of colour and with foods of different textures (eg gel, mousse, something crispy) as a contrast to protein served. Would have liked to see red wine served in larger glasses. Wine matches could be better and not at same level as food, rather at a cheaper price point with not much complexity. Error in menu. Pain de campagne, which should be a rustic sourdough, was presented as a baguette. Nice but not the same thing. Service staff should know their menu and wines. Piquepoul blanc which was served with scallops was a good match but is not a sauvignon blanc as advised by staff member. As night rolled on, observed that many of the service staff congregated near the bar and were talking to each other rather than serving customers. Didn't think this presented well.
We came here for my partners birthday. We had the 5 course degustation and loved every bit of it. Cant wait to go back, I can't say enough amazing things about this restaurant and the hospitable service we received from all staff and the owners.
Great value degustation with matched wines with delicious food.
Great value fixed price degu. seamless food execution and presentation - attentive and caring service . Solid wine list
We had the degustation 'Journey'. Most of the dishes were pretty amazing. My favourite was 'Textures of Tomato' and the 'Chocolate' sphere dessert. I loved the creativity and concept behind the dishes.
