The fantastic service by Jyoti and Jasleen was as good as the food -- fresh, delicious, reasonably priced even without the Fork discount. We had amazing Tandoori chicken, Naan, Sheesh Kebabs, Samosa Chat (A-M-A-Z-I-N-G), and Dahi Bhalliya Chat. Really yummy and satisfying. The service was impeccable with smiling faces asking us if we needed anything or how the food was. Why is this restaurant not buzzing with customers? I just don't understand why.

I often have lunch here as they are near work and the OK buffet is in my budget. The food is reasonable but not as awesomely freshly flavoured as this restaurant had a few years ago, when lunch special included goat curry with rice and salad. BUT I still splurge when they have specials as their standard menu is at Uber Eats prices. My favourite dishes are the lamb cutlets, non-vegetarian tasting plate (which includes lamb cutlets), goat curry and the pistachio kulfi.

No longer as good as it used to be. The food is at best average, and has lost the wow factor. Service is ok , but we were 2 of only 4 eating in the restaurant on a Wednesday evening. There are better Indian restaurants around.

We ordered lots of curries. The Palak Paneer, Butter chicken, super Garlic Naan (cannot get enough of this), Lamb Korma, Goan Curry. Would love to see a salad to complement all the curries. The steamed plain rice was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant. Ample street parking and even private restaurant parking available....don't let the Subi address scare you to come here.

About Metro Indian Restaurant

City Slicker Metro Indian Restaurant is located in the bustling hub of Subiaco, an area renowned forits restaurants. The Metro manages to stand out through its friendly service, passion for modern Indian cuisine and comprehensive menu that is bound to have something to cater for even the fussiest of foodies. The decor is modern with striking light fittings and purple accents and although it can accommodate large numbers of diners, it’s best to book as they can get busy. The venue caters for large groups and is a favourite with families. When ordering drinks, the knowledgeable bar staff are happy to whip up a cocktail or mixer to your taste. Soups are a particular specialty with the Northern Indian tomato shorba with besan and the traditional chicken soup (which differs from its Western counterpart through the addition of traditional spices) especially noteworthy. Another go-to dish for regulars in the know is the mixed seafood sizzler with prawns, scallops and fish fillets stir fried with capsicum, onion, tomato and chilli. Best dish: goat curry, which is hot and spicy and served on the bone and simmered until the ground authentic spices are absorbed.
