Great table outside and food was delicious - made the most of Happy hour and a great spot to grab dinner in between Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Food was excellent! Real home style cooking, pity there were only a handful of patrons but maybe Tuesdays are a slow night. Will definitely be back
We booked pre theatre & first patrons seated. Took manager 15mins to come anywhere near us so we could order a drink. He answered a question about “Happy Hour” very rudely. Restaurant had run out of Cider, Light Beer, Soy Milk. When I requested a coffee, Manager quickly walked away without asking other 4 patrons I was with if they would also like coffees. 3 cubes of chicken in Chicken Penne but the food was nice. Only one waiter on so glad restaurant was quiet or we would never have been served
Delicious food, courteous & friendly service, lovely atmosphere. It was perfect for a meal between Harry Potter plays. Would definitely recommend it.
Our pastas were all amazing and the service was fantastic. The host was very warm and welcoming.. highly recommend!!! They also have deals for pre theatre setting so worth a visit!
Hi, we enjoyed a lovely meal at lunch time today. However after our plates and glasses were cleared we were not asked if we wanted another drink, or a coffee and no dessert menu offered.
Waiter was lovely, but was rushing the wine top ups and were not evenly spread between our of three.
Was unable to supply three drink items from the drinks menu because they had sold out at a private function the day before. No Corona, Cabernet Savignon or Cabernet Merlot.
It was a quiet Sunday early evening, we went for pre theatre 3 course dinner. The service was fantastic, we were seated in a quiet corner. The entree was yummy, we had the egg plant and the lightly battered calamari. My main course, barramundi was great. Hubby pasta was good and his dessert was yum. I had what seems like the biggest the panna cotta, but was assured it’s the presentation that made it looked big. I couldn’t finish it, but then I already had 2 courses beforehand. The serving size is very generous, the quality and the service, makes Mezzo good value. I chose this restaurant because it was close to Princess Theatre where we watched both parts of Harry Potter, and also because of its good reviews. Mezzo lives up to expectations and I will definitely eat there again.
Been here many times with our friends for a catch up dinner, Silvio the owner is amazing, fantastic guy and always accommodating. Awesome food and atmosphere and it’s byo so you can take a wine along if you want. Will be back many more times.
Wonderful service - a great pre-theatre tradition continues!
This place is always great value and the service is first rate. Only downside was that it was a very warm day and the restaurant was pretty hot !
I have been to Mezzo twice (each time for early an early dinner before a show) and the food, service and atmosphere have been excellent each time. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the mushroom gnocci is delicious. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Melbourne.
Garlic bread needed improvement - poor first impression to the meal. Attentive service keeping water topped up.
The owner Silvio is so passionate about this restaurant and loves to provide excellent service and food. My wife loves the beef cheek.
The service was excellent. Staff very friendly. Great food.
They had run out of a lot of specials and kids options even though it was a Wednesday night at 6:30pm. The staff were courteous but not friendly at all, the lasagne and the bolognese tasted identical - obviously using the same massive batch of sauce for everything and the toilets were so unclean I told my son to not worry about washing his hands, we were better off just getting out of there.
An excellent restaurant, delicious pre theatre menu , prices are reasonable & welcoming host . Perfectly situated near some of Melbourne’s best theatres.
Lovely service, great food. Nice a quick too.
Great hearty Italian. Service and food were amazing!
