Turns out Thursday night is rib night!!!! How lucky were we. $30 full rack of ribs and a glass of wine. It was sensational. Cant wait to go back another Thursday night.

The food was high quality and delicious. The service was extremely poor with an in experienced waiter who forgot our drinks and cutlery when our food arrived. We ordered steaks and after asking for cutlery and plates to eat our food, the waiter didn’t bring us steak knives either!

The service and steak was terrible! Paid close to 100 dollars for 2 steaks and both were dry and almost inedible. The sauces that came with it were so thick that they were like a thick glaze. Steaks themselves were chewy and the fat hadn’t even been rendered during cook. Salad was just fennel, radish and parsley. Hardly a salad and if don’t like fennel, there is nothing else on plate. All in all, a very underwhelming, expensive night. Definitely not going back

We had a very enjoyable Sunday Lunch. Food was very good, and so was Service. Certainly not your average Pub Food. They can call themselves a Gastropub, without any problems.

Sunday lunch a disappointment - only two tables in the restaurant also meant the atmosphere was lacking unfortunately

About Middle Park Hotel

This is why Melbourne is so great Capturing the essence of an exclusive gentleman’s club while paying homage to ‘true blue’ Southern Melbourne pub culture and the role of sporting clubs and bars within the Australian psyche, is the Middle Park Hotel. Melburnians just love it. Not only for the nine plasma screens, five private dining booths and the English Oak and Queensland panels that adorn the walls (originally from the MCC Long Room). But also for its welcoming surrounds and classic pub offerings such as steak, freshly baked pies, scotch eggs and offal. The joy of eating real food is rediscovered at the Middle Park Hotel. At the helm is chef Stephen Burke who focuses on bringing the best Victorian produce from ‘paddock to plate’. Expect robust and respectfully prepared food with a nod to the yester year. We love you Middle Park Hotel. We love you Melbourne. Best dish: daily pot pie
