We have been dining here for many, many years - it’s always been amazing! Today was different and very disappointing. After booking for Father’s Day lunch we were seated in walkway of staff taking dirty dishes to the kitchen while a party of 8 with no booking were given a great table in the main restaurant. After requesting that my child’s meal came out with our entree it didn’t come until our mains were served and my main pasta with prawns (that I have always loved) is now served with tiny frozen prawns - yuck! We didn’t even stay for coffee, instead going to a wonderful cafe up the road. Unfortunately, it’s the end of a wonderful journey - we won’t be back.

We feel welcome to dine in the restaurant. All the waiters and waitress are very helpful and with very good attitude. We are the regular diners so we are continuing to support a nice restaurant like this.

Overpriced for lack of quality.likes to serve the cheaper type of food...For high prices ...mineral water is $12 !....I was told I could BYO But the owner complained to me that every one is BYO Tonite .....The rolls are all rice with very little in the middle !....This restaurant can’t live thought of giving value ! sashimi was a joke...Had to Jb send it back to get more

Lovely mid-week lunch. My fresh salad was a delight as was my friend's dish. Relaxed setting. Free Parking for 2 hours in underground car park too.

A relaxed neighbourhood cafe with a good breakfast/lunch selection. I liked that I could book, we were welcome to stay til we were ready to leave, and they had COVID-19 protocols in place.

Good food, especially enjoyed the pulled pork risotto - banger of a dish full of flavour

Great food and excellent service. Unfortunately the restaurant can be a little cold being on a corner. A little more heating would make the experience more comfortable.

Ordered a “runny” omelette. . Certainly not runny. Very firm and overcooked.

I have been a customer for many years. The restaurant is good overall though abit noisey. Food is usualy very good and breakfast today was good quality and our waiter excellent. I miss the range of daily newspapers which had to go when Coronavirus arrived.

Had the mixed mushrooms - delicious! Good casual vibe. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. Standard price range. Good for groups.

The restaurant is well staffed and the café style food is very good. Each of us ordered something different and everyone was happy with their order. Being a Saturday afternoon it was quite crowded And also with 2 large groups celebrating. We thought there was not enough space between tables to be effective social distancing in this COVID age.

We arrived early and were able to be seated and the waiter took our drinks order straightaway but he didn't come back to take our food order even though we had tried to get his attention a couple of times. He must have gone on his break because another waiter had to check if we were wanting to order food which we did. Waiting time for our food was quick and I had the Green bowl plus halloumi (additional charge) and my husband had the corn fritter dish with scrambled eggs and both dishes were great. Note: Amex will incur a 1.5% fee

Breakfast definitely not as good as it used to be. Eggs Benedict with bacon was tiny - hardly any bacon and a thin barely toasted English muffin. We’ve been going for years, but quality has been dropping gradually. Shame because staff are friendly, but I think we’ll need to find another regular venue.

About the restaurant

Wild at heart

Perfect for a long lazy midday meal, a quick work luncheon or a casual date night, Wild Sage in Cammeray has got it all. The dining room is modern and open, with a large feature light that adds a unique and contemporary architectural touch to space. At lunchtime you can enjoy brunch snacks, a few share plates or a fresh salad, while at in the evening you can enjoy fully fledged mains like pastas, risottos, salads, and decadent meat dishes - we love the twice cooked pork belly with truffle butter mash and apple mousse. The food is quietly sophisticated and a true delight. Come and experience this relaxed modern bistro - it’s perfect for all your dining moments.
