We made our booking late in the day, and when we arrived the main dining area was full, but the lovely head waitress opened up the small back room just for us. We went to the bathroom to wash our hands! Because you know, hygiene! And when we returned she told us there was now a booth in the main dining area, right near the food, and did we want to go there "yes!" we said in unison. The hot food was our first stop, with delicious veggies, chilli muscles, satay chicken, brisket (didn't even need chewing, it was so soft!), pasta, bread and a pumpkin soup. And all of it hot, fresh & delicious. Then we went to the cold selection with deli meats, antipasto, cheese, salads & fresh prawns! After a little break to digest, we headed off to get some sweets.... Princess marzipan cake, black Forrest cake, profiteroles, jelly and a cup of tea to help wash it down! Everything we tasted was delicious!
To pay 165.00 for dinner and two drinks very over priced meal very disappointing and pavlova was really bad wont be coming back
I had a lovely catch up with two friends today at Miss Mauds. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff were wonderful and attentive, and the food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!!
foods were so nice
Excellent food and service. Teresa is so warm and welcoming and very kind and hospitable to my 86 year old Grandmother. She anticipated all of our needs and was very professional and attentive. She is an asset to your team and her hard work should be recognized.
Such a family friendly restaurant with great service and happy staff and the food was extremely delicious and the selection was outstanding. We will definitely be back.
It was a pleasure to return to this lovely place. The service was excellent and the staff were attentive. We loved the Swedish preserved fish starters, and the brisket roast was superb.
nice foods nice peoples
Friendly staff great for the family and the food is amazing look forward to coming back thank you
Everything was perfect. Food, service staff, all! This is why i come back 3 to 4 times a year. The Smorgasbord never disappoints! Highly recommend.
One of the oldest and best buffets around, and still going strong! Dont come here that often but when I do the quality and atmosphere is fantastic. Great place to have a family celebration.
Lovely blast from my childhood! Miss Mauds is exactly what I expected. Staff are the best!
NICE People's nice foods
We are a family of 5, we went to have the buffet breakfast and food were great.
Great buffet and homely food. The beef brisket melted in our mouths and the veggies were fresh and tasty. I didn’t eat any seafood so can’t comment on that but the cold section and sweets were nice. We were there for a 70th birthday and we had a lovely evening.
The food quality and choice has really dropped below what I think is reasonable for the price per head. The roast meat was full of fat (obviously a cheap cut) and the desert range was limited compared to previous visits. Not really value for money . We come here each year for mother in laws birthday. Will seriously re think next year whether to book.
foods were so good
I've been going to this restaurant for over 40 years. It hasn't changed much, which is a good thing. It's the best buffet in town.
Easy meal in the city
Staff member was fantastic at his job great meal we will return.

In Australia, the Swedes are popularly known for lucrative exports such as ABBA, Bjorn Borg, and the Swedish massage but Miss Maud Smorgasbord Restaurant is putting Swedish cuisine on the Aussie culinary map. With breakfast, lunch and dinner seating, Miss Maud’s buffets provide plenty to stimulate the senses and is the perfect place to celebrate, offering something for everyone.... and if you are celebrating or bringing children under 13, let them know in the special request box and they will add some Miss Maud Magic to the night !
This iconic institution reminds us that the ‘all you can eat smorgasbord’ has its origins in Swedish culture,. You can't leave without sampling the famed tortes (Swedish layer cake consisting of alternating layers of airy sponge cake, raspberry or strawberry jam, pastry cream, and a thick-domed layer of whipped cream) paired with a hot coffees, these two key attractions carry on the traditional Swedish theme.
