Good service and food.
Excellent meal as usual. Would recommend the chocolate semifreddo for dessert.
I love the ambience here and the reliability of good food every time we’ve been The wait staff have good knowledge of regional Italian wines. It can be a little noisy on occasions but not so bothersome you can’t share great conversation! Don’t miss out on this as an option
Our dinner booking was for 6.30. We were asked to leave at 8.30 despite there being no mention when booking of timed "sittings". Whilst we had finished eating by then we would have preferred to be able to stay longer. The request that we needed to vacate the table as others were waiting seemed abrupt and not a great finish to what had up to then been a pleasant dining experience.
It was great to visit a restaurant out of my neighbourhood and find it to be a wonderful experience! From the moment we entered the service was first-rate...the food choice was excellent and totally delicious. Well worth the journey across town. We will be recommending Mister Bianco!
Love the change up in the new menu, more to choose from, and more foreign wine than before.
Great food as always. Tiramisu still the best I've had.
Stairs are very dangerous
We have been here a couple of times and have enjoyed our dinner greatly. We would definitely return but prob for a special occasion.
Excellent food. Eye fillet was delicious.
Delightful service, well balanced menu.
Lovely Italian food and atmosphere
Wonderful Waitress .Great food and nothing was a problem .Very accommodating . Will be back .
More consideration regarding seating - removed from designated staff working area - especially when empty tables were available the entire time we ate - other than that great evening.
Great service and food full of flavour!
Awesome great food and service
Mister Bianco is guaranteed to delight from the time you enter. Service is outstanding, the combination of flavours, technique and presentation are second to none. We ordered the calamari and octopus entree which was presented in a glass dome which was lifted as it was served, diffusing the smoke out of the glass jar. The smoky flavour was infused in the avocado sauce... what a taste sensation.
Great atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff. Good choice of dishes.
Service was lacking upstairs Always better downstairs
285 High Street, 3101, Kew, Australia
Mister Bianco in Kew isn’t just your average Italian restaurant. Chef and owner Joseph Vargetto draws upon his southern Italian heritage to bring traditional Sicilian cuisine to Melbourne shores. Share plates, known as ‘stuzzichini’ feature heavily for entrees, just the right size starters before the main event comes out. Vargetto has won several awards for his contemporary take on Italian fare – for example, his fried zucchini flowers come ‘in the mist’ and are served under a glass dome. Mister Bianco has garnered such a loyal following that there was previously an outcry when the standout beef cheek was dropped from the menu. Never fear: It was quickly re-added to appease the hangry crowd, and remains a best-seller to this day. It’s proof that Vargetto really listens to his customers – not only creating a menu according to their tastes, but also expanding his cult restaurant to include a spacious upstairs area, complete with a private dining room for hire. It’s amore at first bite!
Best dish: Slow braised organic beef cheek in red wine, creamed spätzle and pickled radicchio
