Had a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon with a group of 10 people to celebrating an upcoming wedding. Service was great, food was good and the atmosphere was fantastic.

The location is terrific and it's a great less formal and less expensive option to the other wharf venues. The food was fine but generally lacked flavour; our favourites were the tuna tartare and the tomato rubbed foccacia; and the service was scant. The menu needs some work.

This was our first time at Molo and it was a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed the entire experience - the atmosphere, welcoming service and great food & drink. I highly recommend it.

Molo is of cause known for their wine listing than food. However was pleased with the size serving between two people, it was fullfiling and surprisingly satisfying particularly the pasta..!! Recommend ??

Really good value with the 50% off - wouldn't go without. They did forget some of our order but we over ordered anyway :-)

Second time to Molo and it didn't disappoint, great location, friendly attentive staff with a simple yet tasty menu that will please, especially the lamb. Arrive before 7pm and enjoy their happy hour where drinks are accompanied with cheese, olives and crisps.

About the restaurant

The new kid on Sydney’s blue-chip dining block, Molo has delighted the Woolloomooloo wharf faithful since its arrival in 2017. Originally launched as a pop-up under the guidance of pier institution, Manta, this apertivo bar is stylish yet uncomplicated. Its turquoise highlights are a subtle nod to crystalline waters off Southern Italy, the source of much the menu’s inspiration and produce. Each visit starts in traditional fashion: aperitifs served with cicchetti – a tapas-like selection of Mediterranean bites to awaken the palate. Giving imported goodies like Cacciatorini salami and Cantabarian sardines licence to sing at full voice, share dishes are limited to a handful of premium ingredients. Combined with a selection of house-made dressings and condiments, the result is stunningly authentic – even more so when paired with a hard-to-find drop from one of Italy’s less-frequented wine regions: Sardinia, Sicily or Puglia. Sharing the same magnificent view and vibe as its fine dining neighbours, this gem submits a compelling case as Sydney’s best value harbourside venue and trendy wharf bar.

Best dish: Burrata, (DOP) Swedish caviar, Sicilian olive oil, crostini
