Superb value just now with The Fork, this is fine dining with a sublime lamb with fig and mint my star of the show, the fish soup and the crispy prawns on a coconut and lemon risotto are also worth writing home about. Coupled with very knowledgeable and friendly staff and a delightful Christmassy interior you will have a lovely evening

Excellent value dining with an extensive menu. We chose different starters, the prawns and salmon starter was one of the best I have tasted and the prawn risotto was very tasty as well. The main course of salmon steak came with a delicious sauce which brought out the flavour of the fish. The chocolate fondant is diet busting but brilliant and the creme brûlée’s was also to die for. Worth a visit every time you visit Funchal,

Not the first time we've been and, hopefully, not the last. We've done the fully inclusive but, this time, went for a la carte with Fork's 50% deal. Fantastic value and we were able to walk, not stagger, home as we did previously after their generous , wine inclusive, menu. Great welcome, lovely food and excellent staff, thank you.

Never seen a Rack of Lamb with only a single cutlet!

The food was fabulous just as good as the last few times, the staff were attentive and very efficient, all in all a lovely evening. The lady playing the violin was brilliant.

Prawn and salmon duo was wonderful, tournedos Rossini great except the sauce bearnaise which had the sour taste of vinegar. Lamb was excellent.

This is the second time we have been here. The first time as a couple and enjoyed it 2 years ago and this time with 2 friends who enjoyed it just as much.Well done Mozart who made it so welcoming and the staff. who worked so hard. To top it all the ride to our hotel through the centre of Funchal in the open top Beetle was an experience not to be missed.

We took advantage of a 50% discount on which basis the food was very good value. However, it was only on arrival (mid-week early evening so not overly busy) that we were informed that this discount only applied to the few outside tables adjacent to the road. We were offered an inside table but only at a reduced discount of 30%. We therefore felt like second class guests. The food was fine but took too long to arrive (almost an hour for our starters) and after noticing that the next table waited 30-40 minutes for theirs we didn't risk ordering a desert. Not a bad meal but there are plenty of better offerings nearby so we wouldn't return.

We have been to this restaurant on many occasions and it never fails to provide very good food with efficient service. The dishes are always good quality and attractively presented. Always reliable and a must when we visit Funchal.

Great food combinations and choice. I had the lamb rack and pardon the pun the marriage of fig sauce and lamb was beautiful.

We were greated very pleasantly and were seated in the backyard as Thefork customets, which is a very cosy restaurant alley. The food and the suggested wine to go with the lamb and the Chicken was very tastful and delicious. The dessert and the 10 year-old Madeira wine was very fine too. We were satisfied ????

Found this restaurant on The Fork as this was mentioned on TripAdvisor too. Great little find. Staff very friendly. The food is varied in choice and is cooked beautifully. The pig cheeks are just fab!! We will return.

Greeted by 'Mozart' who told us that we would have to sit outside as we had booked through the fork. After explaining that we had had email confirmation that we could sit inside as we were ordering from the 'concept' menu, Mozart agreed to seat us inside the restaurant (although we heard the same conversation with other guests throughout the evening). Service was slow as only 2 female members of staff did any work and spent the evening dodging 'Mozart' who constantly got in their way but did little to help. The food was very good and presentation excellent so I must compliment the chef and kitchen staff. It was a shame that our overall experience was ruined by constant checking that we "were definitely eating from their concept menu?", although it was made partly enjoyable watching the staff interactions with each other as many were clearly unhappy with their workload.
