Very good
Where once hotel/pub food was cheap and nasty, many hotels now call their restaurant a "bistro" and charge accordingly. Food was nice, well cooked and presented but perhaps a little over-priced.
Had A roast. If That was a full serve I feel for the elderly. The food was good and the beers were ok. Could do with a couple of craft beers on tap. Overall we enjoyed our lunch and drinks.
Always love going to this pub. We don't go anywhere else. Friendly staff and great pub food. I'm glad it hasn't closed as we were worried about Covid. Still going and we'll keep supporting this business.
Restaurant was quite, no music so nice. Everyone was happy with their meals. Service was good , very dated Restaurant but clean. Very large restaurant would be great for large groups.
We really enjoyed our meal and the staff were very good, unfortunately they had no evidence of our booking, luckily they still managed to fit us in. They had a function running at the same time and unfortunately the guests spent the majority of their time out the front drinking and swearing, which didn't make for the best atmosphere. Other than that, the staff were great and no complaints about the food
We enjoyed our meal at the Mt Dandy hotel, the first meal we've really been out for since lockdown ended. The food was delicious, friendly quick service and plenty of space between tables but it felt comfortable, not strange. Thanks for a lovely evening!
We love this place especially in winter with the wonderfully open fireplace crackling away. As always the service was great and our food was delicious.
Great Food, Great Staff.. Love the old school pub atmosphere.. Never have to wait long for your food. Would recommend to anyone.. Kids are also welcome which is a bonus
There was a bit of a mix up with the online booking. What little I could eat of my rump steak was nice, but it was very gristly (wondering if a cheap cut of meat was used). I didn't expect a refund, but a 'goodwill' gesture, such as a free drink or dessert would have been appropriate. The hotel has a nice cozy atmosphere with a log fire, but the interiors need an update - this is a tourist destination.
Nice place but were seated outside in the sun on a hot day. No shade apart from an umbrella which only shaded 1/2 the table. Table was unsteady. Food was really nice though.
At first we were seated next to the door to the men’s toilet. Bar man moves us thank goodness. Parma was awesome. Lamb shank was tender as but the sauce was bland
Excellent service and a very tasty meal. Pandemic restrictions were strictly adhered to. A very pleasant experience, I would recommend this hotel.
Staff were lovely the waitress was most helpful great setting and the food was excellent, I would recommend anyone to go there on a good weather day there is an outdoor area that would be very relaxing and no doubt enjoyable
Didn’t enjoy the espresso martini
Food wasnt great , drinks where good
Food was delicious and the service was great very enjoyable and just a 2 minute walk from Olinda Country cottages where we were staying
Great pub food good selection
The employees all enjoyed the christmas function
Unfortunately this is the 2nd time I have booked through Dimmi at this restaurant and they did not get the booking therefore they had to find space for us which was very disappointing
Reasonably priced basic pub food. Good friendly service

Cabin Food-Fever This restaurant lives in the antique little town of Olinda, high up in the Dandenong ranges. Take a lush and scenic drive to this rustic-looking hotel and sit inside a high ceilinged cabin-like setting in the woods – lovely! Mt Dandenong Hotel is a casual place, where tourists and locals alike enjoy quality Aussie pub food and the occasional live band. We loved their menu, which was just fitting for the bushy vibe and clear clean country air. The crowd favourite is the Mt Dandy burger, a juicy sauce-drenched beef and bun. And their chicken parma competes with some of the most delicious we’ve ever tried. The Mt Dandenong Hotel has bragging rights over their booze list. They boast more than 35 ciders, 60 beers, 50 spirits and 45 liqueurs! A truly impressive range of local and imported beverages at great prices. What better compliment to your pub meal than a pint of White Rabbit Dark Ale on tap? Delicious. Kids and seniors, you get special attention with a friendly menu all to yourself. Best dish: Mt Dandy burger
