Very good
Ridiculously tiny portions for a German brauhaus-style restaurant...but sooo pricey! Quality of food was pretty poor, too: frozen-cold butter served on pretzels, flavourless micro-sausages, soggy chips. Just the cherry on top, on a 34 degree evening, aircon was off!! Must be on a hard spending review. Only positive note, staff were kind and friendly.
We both ordered their signature dish - The Pork Knuckle ( full size - not half) It was extremely dry and looked as if it was over cooked! Only ate a quarter of it and left the rest. The waiter didn’t bother to ask if we were finished with our meal or unhappy with it, when they removed our plates- obviously still quite full of food. The Noodle Salad was delicious and colourful!
Upon arrival we were met my bouncers, it felt like a nightclub experience i didn't sign up for. Music was loud, people were up dancing to top 40. Staff seemed scattered, didn't take our order properly. I was waiting for big German ladies to be walking around with huge beers, not even German music playing. My boyfriend loved his pork knuckle, the sausages I ordered were bland. Overall quite a disappointing experience.
Great service and food was delicious. So great to be able to dine out again after Covid-19
The place comes highly recommended, and for good reason. The staff were friendly, with amazingly fast service. A great atmosphere with authentic German decor that makes you feel at home. The beer was ice cold, food well presented and absolutely delicious. I recommend trying the platters. Well worth another visit.
Good beer. Terrible food! Appetizers arrived after main courses lol.. food quality is simply poor, not sure if the potato mash has potato inside or if it’s just powder. Pork knuckle is small and was old, just reheated. Very dry and the taste of the crust taste like deep fryer. The bratwurst has a totally distracting bitter taste which overpowers anything else. Bretzel was good, cold meat board was bad. Cheese, butter and meat has been outside the fridge for hours and it has shown dry corners and edges. Service is average. Would not want to return for food, although beer is good and location is nice.
The food seemed to be very processed! It seems like the preparation of the schnitzel was done in a factory somewhere! The restaurant seemed like a factory
Always good food, lots of sharing options which suits our family of varying ages. Was quieter than usual probably because of covid Drinks were excellent as usual and staff friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back again.
Food wasn't as good as the last time we were there.
Always loving the service and food quality
Food was average; I got a tasting plate and all meats are re-heated, even the schnitzel.
Dry, old portion of pork knuckle, weird franchise style ambiance, forgot our reservation, left dirty plates all over our table for about 30 minutes
Was pleasant evening night out. Food was delicious and fast. The people were very friendly and made us feel safe. We sat by the river side where it was peaceful with gentle evening breeze and boats as well as electric scooters zipping by. Good start to a new year!
Good atmosphere thought there might have been some entertainment probably a bit early
Staff were attentive. Food was delicious. Drinks were divine. Always a favourite, will definitely be back again. Thanks for a great experience today.
The food was interesting and decent, and the waitress that dropped us to our table was lovely, however, a different waitress after came to our table and asked “have you ordered?” Which should be obvious to her as ordering was done on the phone, so it was not necessary for her to ask. We had a question which as a waitress she should politely answer, but we were not met with that manner, after rudely answering she asked “ANY OTHER QUESTIONS?” What kind of customer service is this, for the amount I’m paying I should expect at least a decent friendly service. This same waitress kept walking and staring at us/the table which was quite rude, and multiple wait staff asked “ARE YOU DONE?” And then cleared the table before I was done, I’m pretty sure at a decent restaurant the staff should wait until the customer is completely finished eating. Oh and the security did the exact same thing as the rude waitress, walking and staring, we are a family unit and quite clearly it does not look like we are trying to get drunk or do anything suspicious. Finally the surcharge, we were told it was going to be 10%, but as it says on the receipt it was a lot more than 10%, which is absolutely ridiculous and because of covid we were asked to order on our phones which also resulted in a handling fee. Would not ever recommend going here, first and last time ever. Price expensive and service very poor.
Disappointing. Food has gone downhill. Everything we ate was disappointing. All the food was too salty, the schnitzel was not crispy and tasted like it had been microwaved. Used to be a great place to eat with family but clearly they’ve had cut backs during COVID
Too much surcharge on purchases, given that you are forced to order at table, and at each time you order. There was a lot of waitress checking, so could of taken orders and paid once at end as usual. Otherwise was really good
We go every year at Christmas. I'm certain that Covid had an impact on the xeperience. It was a bit odd as no German staff this year. The order at the table app made it all a bit sterile. The cow bells are extremely annoying. Its lost some authenticity. Service was slow. over 20 minutes for a round of beer and we only got them because we asked. I think it may have been teething problems with the system.
Food tasted Good, service was bad. Nothing arrived for 45 mins of ordering and paying from the Table and then we had to case up for drinking at the bar and food in the kitchen multiple times. They didn’t have any orders recorded :(
