The Booking service from “The Fork” was excellent. The welcome and seating was very good, the band was outstanding for a casual lunch. Enjoyed the food, and knowing it’s not fine dining that’s exactly what I expected. Overall very happy patrons. Thank you Gary

A great venue to catch up with friends and enjoy some quality German food. The atmosphere is great to spend some quality hours. Servings are very generous and there is a good selection of beers.

A very nice place to spend the afternoon. Food is very nice and the servings are of a substantial size. A little Germany in the middle of the Rocks

It was a great atmosphere as it was Ocktober Fest celebrations, food & drinks a little pricey but I suppose its to be expected due to the location. Service was good even with all the people & being so busy.

Not a great restaurant for lunch. It’s like a nightclub when the lights come on at 3am. Food ok but better German food in Sydney. I’m sure it’s awesome at 10pm after a few steins.

The food was very good, especially the Pork Belly and Pork Knuckle!! Customer service staff were accommodating, efficient and courteous. The staff member who brought us our drinks, however, just dumped all 9 drinks on one end of the table and was about to walk away when we asked which beers were which. He said he didn't quite know! We still aren't sure we had what we'd ordered! Barring this hiccup, all in all, our group had an enjoyable lunch. Will definitely go again....for the Pirk Belly.

We do like the atmosphere and it's great in groups to have a bit of fun, banter and entertainment. However, it is very expensive and the food was mediocre at best. The pork knuckles are so dry - every time I go I get one, and it's the same.

No visit is complete without The Mango Beer!! Munich platter with pork knuckle is a crowd pleaser enough for 4 people IMO

Stuck on a table with drunken men constant banging the table & yelling Requested a table for 2 separately. Got wine not on menu & then charged extra

Staff had little to no knowledge of meals or menu. Drinks were mixed up and often we were ignored

About the restaurant

A Bavarian beauty

Housed in a stone, heritage-listed building, in the heart of The Rocks, Munich Brauhaus is the place to be if you’re looking for a range of thirst quenching (unpronounceable) German craft beers. This historic venue has had a makeover, morphing into a refreshed, more modern version of its former self - meaning the haus party just got bigger and better! While there is a strong emphasis on beer, the authentic Bavarian style menu also sets tongues wagging. The Munich-style restaurant and bar will transport you straight to Germany with their traditional dishes and female waiters dressed in traditional Dirndl dresses (settle down boys, we know you’re excited!). Famed for its stellar selection of hand-crafted burgers and haus-made hot dogs, this venue has all the key ingredients to draw a crowd - and has no trouble doing so - night, after night, after night. Prost!

Best dish: Brautellar… German sausage tasting platter with creamy mash, sauerkraut and jus.
