Save your money, don’t go there! Absolutely disappointing. Food was served uncooked and raw. Scallops were supposed to be pan seared and arrived uncooked. When this was pointed out, food returned 5 minutes later and obviously flash grilled. They are ripping off tourists with over-priced food of dubious standard. Hate to think this is the quality tourists think is the best on offer!

We were very hot in there which made it very uncomfortable. We decided to only order mains so we could get out of there, the staff kept asking if we were going to order entrees and we kept saying no!!

The only real disappointment was the temperature of the after dinner coffees - we had all ordered extra hot coffees but when they arrived they were not even as warm as a "normal" temperature coffee.

We had such a lovely relaxed lunch at Mures Upper Deck, fabulous service and food. Best location, looking out over the fishing boats and watching the birds dive for fish against a background of beautiful old sandstone buildings.

My experience was wondeful from the time I arrived I was seated promptly and was given beautiful bread and water was poured and it was great to have the small details attended to and my waitress Nadia who was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to which the experience even more that the wonderful food which was the bass strait squid for entree and Tasmanian salmon for main and finished it off with the chocoholic and also the chamomile tea was just to die for I will definitely be returning

About Mures Upper Deck

King of the sea Mures Tasmania is a stunning family owned seafood institution that has been around since the 1970's. For more than 40 years the Mure family has worked tirelessly to deliver really excellent fresh seafood, becoming the bastions of 'hook to plate' eating. The Upper Deck restaurant is the Mures flagship venue with an international reputation. This stunning restaurant delivers the ultimate seafood experience and everything is locally sourced and prepared in house. The menu showcases seafood in all kinds of ways, playing with different cuisines and styles to deliver something really special. Start with a few oysters and then work your way through the rest of the a la carte offerings. Highlights include the "Seafood Indulgence Platter" (for two) and the Huon Atlantic salmon. The dessert menu and wine list are equally appealing so make sure you sample both. It's official, we're going on a see-food diet! Best dish: any of the seafood platters.
