Excellent
It was a most pleasant lunch. The food was excellent, the service attentive and friendly, and the restaurant's interior looks great - simplicity personified. Overall, a great day out.
We had a casual Friday night dinner with friends and this place fitted the bill - good mix of options - we shared quite a few dishes and they were all lovely.
Such a gem! Love visiting whenever we have the chance as we moved away from the area. Quality of food and service always meets our expectations. Gyoza are delicious!
This is not only our local but the best Japanese in Sydney!
Very good food, plates were coming with a good timing. We ordered different plates to share, andall of them were yummy. Good service. I would recommend this place.
Good food and service.
Just really good food and service.
The food was so delicious! Great range of food. Staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make everything great. Highly recommend this place
I had Okonomiyaki Fish which was OK (not as good as Kujin). My friend had chicked teriyaki which was amazing. Service was excellent and social distancing spaces great. Would go back again.
Everything is delicious! The Katsu Curry is my favourite, but you can't go wrong with any dish here. Great little spot in a convenient location.
Really nice staff. Great food
Great food , so reasonable
Sushi & Sashimi plate is very nice.
Lovely fresh food. The prawn tempura was a highlight, crisp but fluffy batter over fresh prawns
I was excited to try the okonomiyaki at this restaurant so I booked it for my boyfriend and friend, both of them Japanese. We were seated on a high table just outside the restaurant, quite a nice area to be. However when we ordered, it seems there was miscommunication as my boyfriend wanted karaage curry but it was written down as karaage only - he may not have mentioned the word curry loudly enough but he thought he had gestured to the specials board behind the waitress where karaage curry as a special meal was written. My friend ordered chicken katsu and rice, and I ordered fish okonomiyaki - or so I thought. When the karaage came, my boyfriend requested for it to be karaage curry as that's what he originally wanted. The staff changed it without much fuss. Then my friend's chicken katsu and rice came, looked good. Then my okonomiyaki came - it was vegetable okonomiyaki. When I disputed that I had ordered fish, not veg, the waitress serving us became rather passive-aggressive, bringing back the order notepad to show us what she had written down - that is, karaage only and veg okonomiyaki (and what my friend ordered). When I said I had said "fish", she brought up the fact that the restaurant changed the karaage to karaage curry as per my boyfriend's request, then brought the attention to the fact that I had ordered veg okonomiyaki, which I wouldn't prefer to do as I don't like that many vegetables. I decided to just eat the veg okonomiyaki so as not to cause more fuss but we found that behaviour rather unprofessional, especially given as my boyfriend and friend have worked in the food service industry themselves and still do currently. May I suggest that in future to avoid such miscommunication and confusion, that the waitress repeat the order back? Moving on to the food. My friend rated the chicken katsu 6.5/10, my boyfriend rated the karaage curry 2/10 (he felt that he could make better curry at home), and the veg okonomiyaki was also disappointing (not just the fact that it was vegetables). I'm used to traditional okonomiyaki, which is thick and full of ingredients like cabbage, bonito flakes, and whatever other ingredients like meat or seafood that you wish to have in it (even noodles if you're in Hiroshima!). The okonomiyaki I ate was very thin, lacked depth of flavour, and just as expected, had vegetables on it that I don't like to eat. The Blue Hawaiian cocktail was nice. Overall, a disappointing experience unfortunately.
Perfect
Super fresh sashimi. The staff were really kind and helpful. The only thing that we had trouble with was finishing the sheer amount of food we ordered which were all delicious!
The sashimi was beautifully presented and fresh; tasty seaweed salad. Lovely service. Great location on Victoria street right next to ice cream shop for dessert. :-)
Always a great experience! Food is delicious and outstanding service. Highly recommend the the Neko and Spider maki roll, along with the Sashimi.
Good food, nice setting and attentive staff.
