Food is delicious, just quantity is not enough. You probably need to order at least two course of meals if you have a teenager. Book in advance, or you will wait forever. Service is terrible basically due to not enough staff. Sit for ten minutes, still no one comes to take order; ask for salt and pepper, did not get it at all. The menu is a piece of paper. They even put a big piece of white paper on the table to use it as table cloth. I personally feel it will be better if they do not use table cloth at all. The carpet is terrible colour. Lots of children are allergic to carpet. I do recommend them change back to concrete as Children are major patrons.

the restaurant was nice and had an excellent view, the food was not the best and value for money was terrible, the service was above average. Wait time (as I had booked prior) was excellent. Overall beautiful restaurant but food not so good.

Good view. Food is okay. Maybe they overbooked because we were asked to leave after an hour (not even finished with our chips). There are other cafes that can give good ambience but with better service.

We arrived 40 min late due to poor traffic and weather and tried calling/ emailing but no response. Staff accommodated us within 10 min. My burger was great, friend said the salmon was too soggy and bland. View and ambience was amazing. Cant wait to go back

Neat spot to have lunch with a group of friends. Good choices on the menu for those wanting a light lunch and those a little more substantial. Lovely views of the city.

We were thoroughly impressed by 1 William! I am coeliac and vegetarian, so I was overjoyed to find wonderful alternatives on the menu. The views, the ambience, the staff, the food and wine were sensational! Highly recommended!

It is Covid19 so there is limited of choice in term of menu but the food were delicious and well presented. The staff is friendly service and polite, it is great relaxing meal after a wonderful experience in Australian Museum. Many thanks.

My salon dish had one slice of mushroom and max 1 tsp of spinach. It just looked weak and not high end of that was what was intended. My lunch companion laughed when she saw the dish.

I did not expect this restaurant to be full of kids. It’s such a beautiful space and the menu is fantastic but we were having a break from kids on a romantic weekend getaway and it was so disappointing to be surrounded by screaming kids. It felt like MacDonalds.

The food is simply delicious but sadly the service was not good. Kept having to ask for things that you would expect to arrive to the table: Like being served water or having to ask for our dessert to be brought out after 20 minutes of waiting! Hard to get the attention of staff, seem to not make eye contact! Would be sad that the service would impact this gem of a restaurant serving delicious innovative menu and great price point!

This was a peaceful escape from the rest of the museum but may not always be so. The kids menu works well but staff should learn to ask if putting ice in little one's drinks is what is wanted before adding the ice. The crispy duck salad was very disappointing while the the spiced eggplant was ordinary. We'll play safe with fish & chips next time.

Loved having a proper dining space in the Museum, it made the whole day feel like a much more sophisticated experience. Food was excellent, service great and the view wonderful

We were seated opposite the kitchen serve area and throughout our lunch all we heard was a voice calling out all orders as they were placed, 3 hamburgers, 2 salmons, etc etc, Then questioning where they were, how many more minutes until they were ready...and then 'ding' of the bell. The bathrooms are old and in the ladies, there was a pipe exposed under a sink, with tiles lying on the floor. The hand towel bin with a blue liner was old and ugly. On route to the ladies, I passed a waitress who was clearing plates off into a bin in plain view of other seated customers, pouring out oil from a finished plate. Shouldn't that all take place away from customers sight? All of the above was a shame as the food was delicious and well presented. I think if the restaurant is being portrayed as a 'special' restaurant, there needs to be an overall revamp of the operations with the dining customer in mind. Hope this has been constructive.

A great addition to our whole museum experience, I hope this 'pop up' becomes a more permanent addition. The food was fantastic, very reasonably priced, great view, & friendly, welcoming service. We'll definitely be back.

The children’s meals were fine. The crispy duck was not crisp and the watermelon in the salad was soggy. Salad greens passable. Kingfish crisp was ok but nothing special. Menu sounded far superior to the execution. Kids were happy though

A good restaurant which has a problem with its customers. It is totally appropriate that a museum restaurant should welcome children but it may be better to seat them together. We had a nine year old with us who felt that the kids' hamburger (slider?) was too small. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Super fun family day out at the AM with a delicious lunch at No.1 William . Fabulous food with views to match. We will definitely make a return visit even if we're not visiting the museum.
