The restaurant seems busy and the service is not responsive. I had to wait for some time because someone can help us. I had to even ask for the drink list in order to look at the wine. Service could be a bit more friendlier and responsive with the price we paid for the food.

The food was not of a quality to justify the exorbitant prices.

Every plate was delicious. Service was excellent - water was topped up without requesting and dropped chopsticks were replaced within seconds before i even had a chance to ask! Table by the window was requested in my online booking for a bday celebration and we got a lovely corner table with a view of the river, perfect. My friend is pregnant so they ensured everything was cooked well done. I left my card at the counter after paying and thankfully i was phoned to return back to collect. Thanks Nobu team for looking after us so well and making our special occasion extra special :)

I’ve wanted to try Nobu for years and finally got there. Did not disappoint. Amazing food, service was impeccable. Very good wine list with my husband’s favourite wine from a boutique winery in NZ. Highly recommend.

About the restaurant

Step into the contemporary, stylish surroundings of Nobu - one of Melbourne’s best restaurants - and experience the creative flavours showcased by head chef Sean Tan and his talented team. The Nobu name has become famous around the world and it’s not hard to see why - the restaurants' perennial popularity and devoted following are a tribute to the personal spin that Nobu has put on traditional Japanese cooking. Enter and order a signature cocktail from the extensive drinks list and admire the Yarra River while you sip and scan the menu. Start with a few ‘crispy oysters’ which are deliciously salty, sweet and spicy all at the same time and follow this up with the equally tasty rib-eye of beef from the 9+ marbling section of the wagyu menu. Other highlights include the sashimi tacos and the black cod with miso (a Nobu signature). This place is full of seductive charm and is the perfect spot for a celebratory meal - we guarantee it will be an unforgettable dining experience. Best dish: whole poussin roasted, boned and served sliced with a spicy lemon garlic sauce.
