Too noisy a table with all men loud
The steaks were good and plenty of chips and salad . The staff friendly and efficient.
Food and service was lovely
The friendly staff took us to our table and told us to order food and drinks at counter and were good even assisted us with carrying our drinks to our table.the plates came out together and the steak was great and a good serve on plates .staff removed our plates and were polite . The room was clean and we were comfortable.
The ordering, service and delivery were quick, the food was a generous portion and well presented. The chips were lovely and crunchy and the barramundi thick and moist.
Booked window or outside table, got one by fire, noisy boxing on tv, drink order forgotton had to go back and reorder, salt pepper squid for starter excellent, scotch fillet steak full of grizzle and undercooked, staff offered complimentary cake and coffee. Wont go back.
the Norwood hotel. excellent service and tasty food. The place is a bit tired and could do with an update. Would recommend. Have a good choice of food options.
This pub is so good and a great place for my sons 21st. The service is great and the food comes out all at once for a party of 10. The Guinness....oh the Guinness...thank you for making the night a great one.
All staff members friendly from the moment you walk in to when you leave. Meals are delicious and large. They're taking every precaution to help keep the place clean during these times, definitely felt safe there :)
The staff are what makes this hotel. They are fantastic and worked brilliantly under the new covid rules. Unfortunately the meal was not so good. Undercooked and dumped on the plate. Normally their meals are great but not this time.
Seated beside a welcoming fire, we really enjoyed our Coq au Vin, washed down with the perfect red. Service was excellent. Lovely to be back at the Norwood!
Great setting by the fire and a lovely waitress who took personal care of us. Very good food and nice atmosphere with a few people in on a Tuesday night
Arrived early but was given a table immediately and with great service by Michael. I ordered the chicken parmigiana. My meal arrived within a reasonable time but didn’t look at all appetising. The chicken parmigiana was overcooked and burnt around the edges. I almost didn’t try it but had a small mouthful and found it to be dry and tasted burnt. Needless to say I sent it back to the kitchen. I was offered another meal but declined as I wasn’t feeling optimistic.
The staff tried so hard to work with the “new normal” and it was really touching that they put so much effort into making us welcome. The food was delicious as always and the fire was roaring on a cold winters day - so pleased that I could treat my dear friend to lunch on her birthday .
Service was excellent and the girl at the door was lovely. Dining room was traditional, just was really lacking ambience, fireplace was nice. Very affordable wines and large serves. Menu was pretty terrible and food was really terrible. My pie pastry was burnt, chips were undercooked and the salad was just a whole bunch of lettuce with an underripe chunk of tomato in there and no dressing. Gravy was cold. We were grateful to be out for dinner after places being closed for a while but its a shame the food let this place down. Maybe time for a new chef with a fresh eye who serves beautiful traditional Irish food
The menu is a reduction on the original and the major downside was the Grassier Pie which was my all time favorite but has sadly morphed into no more than a cheap meat pie equivalent which is very poor value for the price. My wives steak was OK but not good value for the price. One more trip with the same will see the Norwood "off the menu".
Great food, lamb was cooked to medium rare although brocollini was a little over cooked. Great service, nice cool water and drinks. Plus they provided beautiful green hats today which were the best! Thank you for a lovely meal
We all had a great night, good food, good atmosphere and great service. Never been disappointed, I recommended it and often go here. Well done, will be back
I attend the Norwood Hotel regularly as the venue is excellent value for money. The staff are always friendly, courteous, respectful and will always go that extra bit further to ensure everything goes well. Thank you for another great day! ????
The little Irish pub was easily found in the busy suburb corner. There’s a daily special T-bones for only $13.. but we’ve got scotch fillets and they were good.
