Good food! Place is quite small (and quite dark) but clean and in order. Service is friendly and fast. A positive experience to live in Lisbona!!
Nice place , nice vibe. About the dishes all delicious. Me and my friend were speechless about the bacalao plates and not only .. The owner and his girlfriend were really nice and gentle. Definitely worth it place to have a delicious tipical Portuguese dinner in Lisbon
Food was amazing. Best we had in Lisbon. Service was excellent.
Very nice tiny restaurant in the heart of Alfama. Fresh products, typical portoguese food; try the grilled codfish and cuttlefish. Enough wide wine choice.
best meal we had in lisbon!
Not easy to find; but certainly worth the effort. Stall are very friendly. Gresat cook who uses only quality ingredients. Good choices of wine. Cash only. Expect to spend at least an hour, Take time to explore the laneways.
Cenamos estupendamente, volveremos seguro!
Hidden location with a really nice and cosy atmosphere. Typical and delicious Portuguese food. Down to earth and still something special. Would definitely go there again!
Although we were late, we were treated like we were promptly on time. Although I have been disappointed eating Baccalà in other restaurants, it was perfectly cooked. Other dishes included the shrimp in oil and other terrific seasoning. The Vinho Verde was also outstanding. Small family run restaurant near Fado Museum would be great for lunch or dinner.
Lovely meal with great personalised service.
Intimate, welcoming restaurant with delicious, authentic, fresh Portuguese food. Particularly outstanding were the carrot soup, lamb chops, cuttlefish, bacalhau and the chocolate mouss Rosa is a wonderful cook and Miguel, the owner,is attentive and charming and dev oted to providing the freshesh dishes with the best ingredients. We ate there two nights in a row. Why take a chance when you have found the real deal?
Quiet off main thoroughfare position - well worth searching out
A very intimate setting. Miguel is a fantastic host. Food is authentic and delicious.. Followed dinner by a stroll through the narrow streets of Alfama. A very memorable experience.
Puxa O Beco????
Chicken gizzard sounds odd but boy is it good. Followed by liver and potatoes that dissolve on the tongue. Discuss your food choices and get something other than cod (that’s also good). I can’t recommend it more highly.
Good food..great host, very busy but food was worth the wait.
O Beco is a real discovery worth seeking out. The food, the service and the pricing is just right. If your seeking a quality dining experience, that is value for money in the Alfama, please enjoy O Beco.
