Great food, great service. Sara was fabulous. Friendly, always smiling and extremely helpful. The sweet miso eggplant dish and crispy soft shell crab steamed buns were amazing. A must if your in Byron!

Seated outside under the verandah, we hadn’t even sat down & was asked if we wanted sparkling water & edamame beans. Um, please let me sit down first. I didn’t notice the seat had food on it. That wasn’t a pleasant start. Oh well, that was quickly cleaned up. The ground also slopes away giving the feeling your on a leaning ship. But besides those very minor quirks, the food is very very good.

A great find! The food, drinks and service were really good! The sushi was fresh and melted is your mouth! The kingfish specials and popcorn shrimp were super tasty. We loved it so much we ordered take away a few days later. My only complaint would be the size of the table we were seated at. There wasn’t enough room for all our dishes and we had to use the table behind us to put some of them. (I booked well in at advanced so expected a bit better seating situation). Overall great food and I would highly recommend it.

Great Japanese restaurant. Sashimi was good, especially the Kingfish (although out of tuna which was a shame). Decent raman and teriyaki and exceptional steamed buns with soft shell crab. Very busy and quite noisy but we liked the atmosphere on a rainy night in Byron Bay

We had a wonderful dinner at O Sushi last night. It was a spur of the moment catch up with a friend and it couldn’t have been better. The food, the service, the ambience all excellent. And booking via TheFork made it even easier to organise - so thank you all round ????????????????

Absolutely loved O-sushi. It was such a beautiful little place. The food was fantastic - we had to order seconds cause we couldn’t help ourselves it was so good. The staff were amazing. They were all so friendly and welcoming and very accommodating given we had a 1yo and 3yo with us. I had ordered a a martini (not realising it was straight alcohol) but the bar staff happily mixed it into a delicious bespoke cocktail for me to enjoy. Definitely went above and beyond. Highly recommend and we will be back

The food was excellent and the service was very good too. However, we went at 730 for dinner and they were running out of particular foods and Asahi beer. Also, the floors were dirty and the table sticky. Just clean up this place a bit and it will be fabulous!

We visit each year when we’re in Byron and the food never disappoints. Would be great to see some of the furniture updated (the chairs feel like they will collapse beneath you at any moment). Was also quite uncomfortable with the closeness of the tables and people coming in and out given the current pandemic.

Service and welcome was good. No table covers, sticky surface, chairs very uncomfortable and tables not correct height for the chairs. Very noisy. Food below average. Chicken Teryaki was dry and tasteless with no sauce. Gyozas were delicious but likely not made on premises. No chilli in the Chilli Chicken Ramen, quite an uninteresting dish. Fairly typical of restaurants in Byron which seem to be catering more for tourists, with very few exceptions.

It was excellent, really fresh and everything so beautiful made. We ordered too much but don’t regret it! The chicken karaage was outstanding, the eggplants also very good, mixed sushi platter was delicious. Would definitely go back again!!
