Very poor service in not allowing our pre booked reservation allowed. Why would be good to know. Also on Sunday evening my 21 year old grandaughter and her friend were only served their pizza in a take away box

We booked with the restaurant, but were sent across to eat in the bar area. It was hot and not very elegant. We would have much preferred to eat inside the Oak and Vine restaurant with air-conditioning and more elegant decor and atmosphere. The menu was limited and not much vegetarian options. It took an hour to get the entrèes and another 45 minutes for the main meals to be served. It was an ok experience, but I wouldn't go back in a hurry.

For the price of $40 per main, we found the food underwhelming. Presentation was good, but the mains lacked flavour. Wine choice was average. Saving grace was the friendly staff and the haloumi entree.

Each meal was melt-in-your-mouth amazing with flavours that needed savouring with each bite. We left full and glad we were able to experience such wonderful culinary skill. The atmosphere and staff were also fantastic. Highly recommend.

I ordered the beef cheek, and it was not a beef cheek. It was so dry and very stale tasting! An unfortunate experience. Will be eating elsewhere for the remainder of our trip.

3 TV screens All playing different sport. Asked for the music to be turned down but this didn’t happen. Cold atmosphere. Very limited menu choices. Food of average quality. So many better choices to be found in Port Douglas. Such a shame. The hotel has many attractive areas. Meals are only served in the bar area. The dining room stays closed after breakfast?

Welcoming, friendly staff, very generous servings. We had an enjoyable couples dinner. we ate the barramundi and the beef cheek with two sides. Could not have fitted in either entree or dessert. Glasses of sparkling and a good red.

Food was very good - Beef Cheek just melted in your mouth. Barramundi moist and tasty. Only sour note was 10% extra for a weekend. Also did not have record of our reservation.

Food was Good Value OK - Portion size in our case was perhaps a little large .The staff member who was working our Tables was exemplary , Cheerful Attentive - Proactive - and Helpful., not often found in the service industry these days .

We shared the asparagus and eggplant platter. For mains we had Duck Massaman curry and Beef check. The sides were very large servings. We had rice and potato. I would order it again. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The restaurant had little atmosphere, very little to no table dressing , eg table clothes, place mats, etc. Food was first class , service friendly and efficient .I think for a resort hotel it could do better , price was not exorbitant, but not cheap.
