Very good
Super busy however the team were very attentive. Food was amazingly delicious, wine was perfect. Exceptional value for money. Will def be returning.
Great family friendly venue. Various options from inside restaurant dining to casual picnic on the grass.
From the first greet not warming nor welcoming. The food took over 45 mins to arrive and the eggs were not cooked to order and the bread was burnt on the two meals ordered. The restaurant was not even at 50% capacity so not sure what would happen if it were at even 80% capacity. No manager or waiter came across to find out how things were or if we needed anything else. Honestly this is the third attempt we have given Oakover and we will not be going back it has disappointed us far too many times from the service, quality of food, menu options as vegetarians and well overall dining experience.
The staff were a little vague and lacking a welcoming friendly nature. The food was mediocre. But the venue and grounds somewhat made up for it. Clearer line markers and service counters may assist in creating better customer service.
Always a great lunch vibe
Good value and efficient service..
The staff were very friendly and food were fantastic! I made a mistake in my booking, but the manager helped me out. The food were in good portion and it was so yummy. I would recon it to my friends.
We just love the setting it is so lovely and relaxing. Food is great and I tried my first coffee paddle. Could have easily stayed and grazed through lunch til music time. Might have to do that next time
Staff could be a lot friendlier and smile. Food was good but menu is very small. A granola would be nice especially coming into warmer months. Paddle boats are great. Coffee is good.
Disappointing breaky this morning, second time of going, our coffees arrived with half in the saucer, no apology or help to soak up the spill, The toast with conserve jam was the jam you get on flights in a plastic packet which for a European food cafe was surprising and the toast was barely toasted on one side and the other was bread, sadley to many options in the valley so won't be returning for breakfast anytime soon
My ‘cooked’ breakfast was served cold..
No improvement
Lovely setting. Staff were excellent. Will go back again and would recommend. Outdoors area excellent for children. Food was good with lots of options.
The welcome from staff was excellent finding the right table for what we wanted, Only downside is waiting for meal which took an hour, expect this on weekends as big places that cater for large groups. There was only 2 of us and staff looked after us when we chased up our meal.
Nice surroundings and a great breakfast
Very disappointed - The food was awful, Lamb shanks were so overcooked and dry with straight out the jar/can tomatoes chucked on top, potatoes were a mess, couldn't eat it at all. Salmon was Meh!, floury texture - overcooked - the chef/cook should be ashamed sending this out of the kitchen Such a shame because we have eaten some amazing meals here previously, we love the venue as we got married here but won't be eating here again in a rush
Fabulous setting. Relaxed and spacious. Lots of space for kids to explore and play. Staff were accommodating and moved us to a better table at their suggestion. Food was served quickly and was tasty. We will definitely truly be back.
It was a great place for a group of families to come out for lunch after sport. There was a slight mixup with some of the kids meals and took a while to sort out and get their meals but otherwise the food was delicious and the grounds were fantastic for the kids to play whilst we watched on from our undercover seats on the verandah. Would definitely come back.
Food was good. Chicken party was sizeable and juicy. Loaded fries and brisket roll were packed with meat. Barramundi was cooked well. Overall food was better than expected.
The food came out really quickly. Coffee came out almost instantaneously. Picturesque location. Gluten free options available. The only thing that was a bit underwhelming was that there was a separate market operating where wine could not be purchased, so I had to queue up twice. Majority of the experience is lovely though, got to expect queues when going to a touristy location on a Sunday.
