The food is average, but expensive.

Nice meal served with bread. Could have been more bread as I was hungry, although entrée and main filled me. Nice wine list - good atmosphere.

The main was delicious but would I pay $36 for the steak again? Probably not. It was cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth, etc. however it was served with 1 asparagus and 2-3 sugar snap peas that were cut into small pieces, 2 tiny pieces of potato, a virtually non existent potato purée and jus. Surely you can't justify paying $36 for it especially when the menu said "served with seasonal vegetables". Dessert on the other hand- very reasonably priced but 2 of the 4 options were quite simple I thought. Eton mess and the brownie. The brownie was definitely yummy but expected something more out of the ordinary. More desserts like 'something smokey' would've been fantastic!

Fresh, tasty food with quality ingredients. Not cheap, but relatively to region. Not huge portions, but a side of fresh cut chips sorted hungry mouths. Terrific service, open public holidays, a little local gem.

We love the atmosphere and food - mushroom risotto was a little too salty though

Small but very well presented menu, worryingly we were the only people there, can it last?

About Oscar's on the Yarra

Treat yourself at Oscar's on the Yarra Victoria’s Yarra Valley is home to beautiful produce, wine and scenery; three award-winning features that add to the wow-experience that is Oscar’s on the Yarra. Nestled on the banks of the river in the picturesque Warburton, Oscar’s can accommodate small and intimate meals for two all the way through to larger affairs (weddings, parties, anything!). Heavily reliant on local producers, the ever changing menu is relaxed and accessible to all diners. Complementing the food, the wine list has a strong focus on the Yarra Valley. And given the proximity to the vineyards, it would be a shame not to sample their wares over lunch or dinner! Depending on the weather and occasion, you can choose to sit in the attractive dining room or alfresco on the outdoor terrace. Why not treat yourself next weekend with a trip to the Yarra Valley and Oscar’s on the Yarra? Best dish: Grazing Platter for two: a selection of cured meats, cheese, olives, pickles & marinated vegetables from local suppliers.
