The food was amazing, we had the octopus, probably the best I have ever ate and for desserts a foundant of mushrooms, which was surprisingly good. Would recommend to everyone!

Excellent service. The food was great, traditional portuguese food with some modern twists. The ambience is also very nice. All in all, an excellent experience.

Very disappointing service They had changed their telephone number so we couldn’t call them to let them know we were going to be 15 mins late When told about this the person on the front desk was less than interested. After we sat down we waited 45 mins to give our order The gin and tonics had no gin in them! We waited another 15 mins for the first course. I ordered a glass of wine and requested a larger glass. The waitress objected saying she always used the smaller glass but I persisted and she then brought a larger glass. The escabeche was not very refined too much gravy and onion and not enough partridge. The “special sandwich of Portugal “ was way over salted and when we complained they took it back to ask the chef and he relayed that it was perfect. They did offer to bring a second appetizer but it was getting late and it would just have delayed dinner. They should then have not charged us on the bill but they did anyway. The 6 hour veal was a lump of grey meat The suckling pig was very good Then at the end of the meal we asked for a taxi. They said 5 mins We went out and no sign of a taxi. So we asked again and they said somehow it didn’t get ordered. So it took another 15 mins for the taxi to come. It’s a beautiful restoration of an old palace but they really need to move their service and food to match the surroundings. Too bad.

The restaurant is inside of a charming hotel on a river. Very beautiful spot except....The first unfortunate thing is it is far from centre of Porto and taxi had difficulty to find the entrance to the hotel as it is just behind some obscure museum and had no visible indication. The food was horrible. Not fresh, warmed up probably in microwave, the meat was old and chewy. We were not able to eat it. In fact non of the dishes (consomme, chicken, veal, fried oyster) we ordered were eatable except cheese plate. The staff tried to be friendly but had no idea what were they serving or how fresh the food was. Prices for Portugal are expensive.

Simply the Best restaurant we did in Porto, the meals are awesome (I absolutely recommand the Suckling pig exceptionnal), the setting is perfect, calm, romantic, and the prices are ridiculously low. Our evening was perfect, i recommand Thank you !
