From the moment we arrived the service was incredible. The owner could not have been more accommodating and even with the current state of the hospitality industry during this pandemic, he was bubbly, fun & never once did not have a smile. Pancho Villa become my go-to restaurant when friends come to visit Hobart and will continue to be my go-to. Outstanding! :)
A very pleasant dining experience. Very friendly wait staff and great atmosphere. Loved the food and the banquet menu provided us with plenty to share between four adults. We were, however, slightly amused that they could not find any sugar for our coffee.
Tasty food, good ambience
Great atmosphere and staff, will be back ????‼️
Return visit to Pancho Villa. Great choice when looking for something different great place to catch up with friends. Food very good and service was wonderful
An amazing building, spot on service and delicious food!
Nice but felt rushed by the staff...
What a fantastic experience! Also a great choice of tequila. We will be back.
Beautifully decorated and clean interior, exceptional food and cocktails, and friendly and efficient staff weren't afraid to get a little punny. The music was enjoyable and theme-appropriate, and not too loud to carry a conversation at the table.
my girlfriend and i got really incredible service, the waitering was fantastic, the food was incredible. the restaurant had such a wonderful vibe. really enjoyed the whole experience. really great service, will definitely come again.
Loved this restaurant, ambience, food and service all really excellent! Would highly recommend this place for any type of occasion, date, casual dinner, anything!
Not impressed by being told we could not have low chairs when we had a party member that had just had a hip operation and the restaurant was empty at the time. Although I understand they were fully booked, the restaurant at the time was empty and there were tables that we could have swapped for with low chairs everywhere. Party member hurt themselves trying to sit in high chairs and is now having issues post surgery. Was told we should have mentioned at time of booking but this was done through online and was not given the option, and as we had never visited your restaurant before we did not know seating Very inconsiderate
Great spot, quirky atmosphere and a interesting assortment of food items well worth visit.
Great venue! Food was delicious and well priced, the drinks a little pricey. Yet we’ll be back we had a great time!
Wonderful atmosphere, great staff, amazing food.
Service was outstanding. We were celebrating a birthday and were given a tot of tequila. The margaritas were very good
We went to Pancho Villa to celebrate my sons 18th birthday and enjoyed the quality of Mexican food and the cocktails on offer and the great service of the staff there. Had a great night.
The best service we’ve had in a long time. They were more than happy to customise the menu for dietary requirements. Very fast service. Great atmosphere and delicious tequila.
Fish taco was my favorite

Hobart's holy grail
Hobart’s dining scene is growing from strength to strength with top notch eateries found on every corner. One of our favourites is Pancho Villa, a cheeky Mexican retreat boasting a killer vibe, an excellent drinks list and some pumped up Mexican eats. During the summer months this place is packed with punters seeking booze and bar snacks. And in the winter the crypt like dining space and courtyard turn into a cosy sanctuary ideal for friendly get togethers or even a date.
Menu highlights include the tacos which come stuffed with things like chilli pulled pork and salsa roja, ox tongue and soft shell crab. You can also grab larger mains from both ‘land’ and ‘sea’, plus some beautiful desserts… rich curro dulce de leche or refreshing tangy lime, avocado and green tea tart.
Oh, and if you love tequila - this is THE place for you. With pages upon pages of different drops plus the option for a tequila ‘flight’ it really doesn’t get much better than this.
Best dish: beef cheek with cerveza negra & chipotle braised, with avocado & lime puree & salsa cocida.
