Nessun riferimento nel nome ai Sex Pistols o ai Clash, semmai al dio Pan, simbolo di accoglienza, amicizia e divertimento… guardate la bella opera grafica appesa alla parete che lo vede come protagonista. Quindi il locale, aperto da maggio 2018, in pieno centro, alle spalle di Piazza Solferino, vuole essere accogliente e farvi sentire a proprio agio. E di fatto appena entrate trovate un punto di accoglienza, o se preferite un welcome point, dove vi verrà offerto un calice di vino con qualche stuzzichino. Poi salite la scale e vi trovate in un ambiente elegante ma in modo soft, belle tavole e altrettanto belle luci a creare un’atmosfera rilassata e intima. Altra segnalazione: andate a lavarvi le mani e date un’occhiata all’originalità del lavandino… Tornate al tavolo e affidatavi alla professionalità del direttore di sala, Roberto Montero (è stato anche dai Mondavi in California…) e del sommelier Nicola Cirasella.

La cucina proposta è tradizionale con slanci innovativi concreti e ben controllati. Detto che i coperti in tutto sono una cinquantina e che a pranzo viene proposto un menù che varia ogni settimana, vediamo qualche piatto per farvi capire la bella aria che tira. Iniziamo col Tortino di porri, crema di castagna, salsiccia di Bra e scaglia di parmigiano oppure l’altrettanto goloso Polpo scottato con zucca al rosmarino e pane alle olive taggiasche. Tra i primi un notevole Risotto con zucca, porri, gamberi e lime, ma interessanti pure gli Agnolotti del plin ai tre arrosti con salsa alle nocciole. Passiamo ai secondi piatti con dei buonissimi Calamaretti farciti con crema di piselli e pane carasau o la Tagliata di sottofiletto di vitello con fichi, cipolle rosse e senape. Finale in dolcezza con il Cremoso al cioccolato bianco, frutto della passione e crumble salato alla nocciola. Carta dei vini all’altezza con più di 180 etichette italiane ed estere. Secondo me sarebbe piaciuto anche a Sid Vicious…

    Certainly delicious food and good wines. Attention of staff for empty wine glasses and questions about things that are not on the table could be better. Sufficient attention for corona safety!

    The Pank Restaurant is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. The staff are superbly welcoming attentive and diligent.The food is exquisite and the wine list enthralling. The whole ambiance of the restaurant is perfect , 10 out of 10!

    Liked the welcome downstairs with a glass of wine. Liked the staff who was super nice. Didn‘t really like the food, everything was too sweet, from the octopus to the lamb. Recommending more fine-dining plate arrangements - „with wasabi“ should e fine tiny bit as a decore line and not three mountains of wasabi on the plate. Would fit the experience of the staff and interior more.

    Restaurant opened in 2018 with seating in a tasteful salon upstairs in a historic building. Huge choice of wines and you could, if wanted, taste a different one with every course. We ate here at lunch where there was a 3 course menu for eur 30. Absolutely fantastic value. Choice of antipasto, first course and second course either fish or meat. We chose one of each. The food was excellent - many traditional foods with something different or innovative (Tartare di Fassona, ravoli del plin, slow cooked pork with amazing sauces, polipo, ravioli nero di seppie ripieni di bietole with gamberi, ombrina). The presentation was great and the service very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant. The bathroom has a great quirky twist - visit it.

    A warm welcoming of wine and house made focaccia as we waited for our table. Stylish and minimal design , the decor awakened your senses and created an expectation. Attentive service, refined setting, creative, fresh and superb flavors played on the palate. Comprehensive Wine list. A evening to remember.

    Lovely new looking restaurant off the main street. A quick white wine reception (on the house) at the lobby followed by dinner on the upper floor. Every dish we had was wonderful. Only area for improvement is for the staff to be a little friendlier.
