Food was great. Good portion sizes and a wide variety of choices on the menu. Waiting time overall wasn’t too bad. Service was attentive and overall ambience of restaurant was good. Definitely would revisit.

We love Papperdelle. Our family have been gong for years. Always delicious food and good value. The owners are lovely.

The food here at Pappardelle is always of the highest quality. This night was no different. Service was good, but some minor details missed or delayed which should really be at the forefront of the minds of the service personnel. ie Water for the table without asking for it - Parmesan cheese for pasta without having to ask for it also. Minor things but a little annoying just the same. Food exceptional once again though and we’ll keep coming back!

Once again, the staff, service and food at Pappardelle did not disappoint. The Duck Ragu special was fantastic! All other both individual and shared were thoroughly enjoyed.

There was a large party in one half of the restaurant which gave the restaurant a lively atmosphere which I don’t mind at all. This did however lead to the front door of the restaurant being opened a lot allowing warm air into an otherwise cool restaurant. It also blew a few serviettes around and I could see some of the wait staff and patrons getting a little annoyed, which was perfectly understandable, with the staff having to constantly shut the door that had been left open. Otherwise, food as always was fantastic and great value. Service was at its best.

Restaurant was fairly busy last night, so we had a longer wait than normal to receive or meals. We were ok with this as catching up with a long time friend who now lives overseas so it was great just chatting over dinner. Food once again was exceptional, generous servings, great flavour, fine produce. We will be back, definitely!

About the restaurant

Pizza, pasta and more Restaurateurs in Haberfield know a thing or two about good food. In fact, Sydney’s little Italy was one of the original foodie hubs and many of the trattorias, cafes and pasticcerias are still owned and run by the same families who moved into the area as immigrants more than half a century ago. For relative newcomer Pappardelle, the fact that the locals have welcomed it with open arms is testament to just how good the hand cut pasta and rich ragu is at this joint. Owned and run by the Soglimbene family, who have notched up more than 25 years’ experience at restaurants in Balmain and Pyrmont, Pappardelle stays true to traditional cooking methods while adding their own contemporary twist. Buon appetito! Best dish: Pumpkin ravioli
