We had the 6-course degustation. The food and wine pairings were utterly perfect. This is a great place for a special occasion. Be prepared for a pricey evening, but worth it for a special event. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We were given the best table in the house with a brilliant view over the vineyard at sunset. Magnificent!

First time at Paringa and it was a great experience. We had the 5 course degustation and it was excellent, especially with the paired wine. Kudos to John our waiter for his excellent service. Had a good chat to the maitre'd/sommelier Bruce whose experience included time at Inniskillin. He was kind enough to let me try the 2016 Shiraz The Paringa after talking about reds. I couldn't resist walking away with a bottle. Definitely a return to place for me.

Lovely views from the window, excellent combination of fresh ingredients that doesn't look substantial on the plate but actually fills you up, and we were also very lucky being looked after my a good waitress. All 4 of us left the place feeling very happy!

The food and wine were lovely. What was disappointing was the attention or lack of it, paid to the entrance and view from the window. Having worked in tourism for over thirty years I know how important first impressions are. The garden, car park area is way behind in standard to most other wineries in Victoria. Unfortunately this says to me that attention to detail is not important. It's an easy thing to do and would just round off the experience.

We were disapointed to be honest. We spent a fortune for a birthday lunch for a family of four and left hungry. The portions were just too small and we are not big eaters. The service was lacking and we repeatedely had to ask for our glasses to be filled with water which is such basic service. Our needs and wants were not met for such a special occassion. Our expectations of a hatted restaurant were not met either. No surprises in the food but the portions were seriously lacking. We took all three and both adults and children left feeling hungry. We eat out all over Melbourne but could not take anyhing special away. Our main course bowl was chipped. Its all in the details. You cant charge these prices and provide this level of attention to detail.

New Years Eve Degustation Menu

Ring in the New Year at Paringa Estate with our 6 course degustation menu, including a glass of Champagne on arrival! $175 per person Although we don’t say no to children dining on the evening, please be aware that there will be a $100 charge per child. This will include a small entrée, main and a dessert with a soft drink. Our restaurant is a very small in space and therefore all children must be seated at the table during the evening as there are no designated areas where children can play. Credit card details are required to secure your reservation. If you cancel within 1 week of the booking you will be charged the full cost of $175pp.
