British born, Andrew Harmer brings his vibrant take on chic modern Australian cuisine as Executive Chef of QT Melbourne. Drawing on his extensive culinary skills and experience (Vue de Monde, The Point and D.O.M), Andy brings his individual touch to QT Melbourne’s restaurants and bars. Harmer’s approach to food is elegant, sophisticated and bold and throughout his culinary journey has been built on the foundations of professionalism, organization and maintaining the utmost respect for produce.

    A repeat visit when travelling for work. The 40% off food offer makes this really worth while. A rare steak is actually served rare! And the charred greens were a compliment to the chef. Add the great recommendation of a Malbec and no rush to push you out - this was another perfect meal for a work trip.

    Great atmosphere and design. The crab entree was delicious but the mushroom risotto too salty. My own fault for ordering the wagu that was overwhelmingly fatty, but otherwise cooked to spec.

    Came in for a birthday celebration with family. Food was great. I highly recommend the Beef Tartare. Ambience was great too! Although overall service was good, the interval between food took longer than expected in our experience. We will definitely come back to try other parts of the menu.

    Food was ok, though the steak (Blackmore Tri Tip - $55) was so chew that I had to cut it into really small pieces before I could swallow them. Special thanks to the Italian waiter who looked after us, very attentive, humorous & professional! All the best to your next globe trotting adventure!

    Great place, brilliant service from Emma who had an amazing sense of humour. Food was amazing great flavours with generous portions, had the privilege of watching the owner Andy Harmer working the pass, would we come back yes in a heartbeat.

    The beef steak was perfectly cooked. One of the best steaks I’ve had in Melbourne. My partner had the lamb shoulder. He said a bit salty. The soufflé was beautiful.

    The vegan cauliflower dish was excellent as were the mushrooms in particular so yum and other side dishes. My friends had animal parts on their dishes on which I cannot comment but to say they enjoyed.

    The wagyu steak and souffle were perfect! A bigger serving size of souffle than anywhere else, rising up above the ramekin, excellent texture. A bargain with 40% off via The Fork.

    Excellent steak restaurant inside QT hotel on Russell Street. The steaks were delicious, well cooked and served quickly. The waiting staff were all very professional especially Callista, a definite stand out on the time she took to explain the various cuts of meat, preferred cooking styles and various options, a staff member with both passion and knowledge great work!
