Meet the Chef

British born, Andrew Harmer brings his vibrant take on chic modern Australian cuisine as Executive Chef of QT Melbourne. Drawing on his extensive culinary skills and experience (Vue de Monde, The Point and D.O.M), Andy brings his individual touch to QT Melbourne’s restaurants and bars. Harmer’s approach to food is elegant, sophisticated and bold and throughout his culinary journey has been built on the foundations of professionalism, organization and maintaining the utmost respect for produce.

    Excellent food friendly and professional service well worth the vizit and 40% off food was a wonderful bonus. Steak was just right and the raspberry souffle to die for. One souffle enough for 2 people

    We ordered the ceviche and the beef tartare for entrees and both dishes had great presentation but lacked flavour. My husband then had the slow cooked lamb and I had the ocean trout as the main dish. The lamb was just gorgeous however the trout dish was also lacking in flavour. The service was pleasant but there just wasn't any atmosphere so we decided to forgo the desert. Would we return, probably not.

    We have pre show dinner so we called out we were in a hurry. The restaurant has catered without sacrificing the service and the food quality is very good. The glass of wine is generous, entree of snapper ceviche is fresh. My wagyu shirt is tender, so is lamb shoulder is tender, but the surprise is actually the side carrot dukkah. We will definitely come back if we travel to Melbourne again .

    On the night the steaks’ quality were average (for the price). They are under seasoned and my steak was very over cooked. As a grill and steakhouse, over cooked and under seasoned steak is a No-no. They were good enough to replace the steak and did not charge for it. At least the management understand customer service. Other foods were very average. Eg. The quality of the fish in the ceviche was ordinary and the thrice cooked potato were not even crispy. Unless their food quality improves, will not go back even with special discount.

    World Class, I don’t say that lightly. I have eaten over 14 counties in the world. I live 45 minutes from Melbourne, I worked in Hospitality over 15 years. Absolutely WORLD CLASS

    Venue was fabulous. Staff friendly. We received a pretty cloudy/strange negroni and commented on it and the staff straight away were attentive and gave us another one. Some of the food was served cold. But excellent value overall - especially those beautiful oysters and wagyu!

    Great fine dining experience. We skipped the entrees because I wanted to save room for dessert. It was a good decision. For mains we had the veal cutlet and the slow roasted lamb shoulder accompanied with french fries and broccolini. The meals and the sides were of generous proportions. The meats were tender, the french fries were crunchy and the broccolini tasty. However, the desserts were the highlight of the dinner. We ordered the raspberry souffle and the baked Alaska. Both desserts are not commonly found on restaurant menus. They were both perfect and not overly sweet. The souffle was accompanied with icecream (although the icecream serving should have been larger) and the baked Alaska was served with a strawberry sauce. Would consider going back just for the desserts. Service is also very good. The restaurant has an open kitchen and a also has a large bar. Would recommend Pascale Bar and Grill.

    They changed/ cut the size of the menu for grill. 250gm of meat without any side included. The rest of the menu are ok. Service is awesome.

    Appreciated the serene feeling of the restaurant for our ladies catch up. We were able to talk and share without commotion. The fish of the day as well as the lamb shoulder were excellent. Will definitely revisit.

    The first time we ate there in January was a standout. This second time in February, the steaks were only average. The David tri tip steak was considerably smaller portion but same price $55, because it was now on the 'Specials'. The fries were not crispy, which we found shocking because it's hard to find limp fries these days. Service was good as always, so that was a redeeming feature.

    What a disappointment. The service was extremely slow: 15 minutes to get the menu, 10 to order and more than 1 hour to get served for 3 grilled beef with fries! The meat was also disappointing : too chewy and no taste. The complimentary sauce was not well cook. Sorry Pascale but we will not come back again...

    We arrived at 6pm but got the food until 7.20pm, during which we were not served at all. We asked medium well Wagayu beef but got the medium rare, which I don't think it is worth for 48 AUD.

    Great service and atmosphere. However the order I wanted was out of stock unfortunately. Which was surprising since we went for dinner quite early. Would definitely return to try more of their menu since staff were so welcoming.

    Sunday 23rd Feb 20. Amazing. My partner and I had one of the best dining experiences we've had. Everything about our night was wonderful. We ordered the snapper ceviche and beef tartare for entrèe which we shared, they were both so delicious. We ordered the John Dory fish with a delicious sauce and the Wagu steak, both were cooked to perfection. The thrice cooked potatoes and steamed broccolini were delicious too. We shared the apricot cheesecake (decontructed) and some goats cheese to finish, yummy. Logan and Itgil who waited on us were very attentive and knowledgeable. On our way out past the kitchen, I thanked the chef and said everything was amazing. We can't wait to come back. An absolute gem of a restaurant. Thank you to you all for such a memorable evening.
