    Great atmosphere! Looks like you are in la mama’s kitchen. The quality of the food was great as well. I just found the service a bit slow but we had plenty of time that day ????

    We loved our cozy Sunday lunch at the Pasta Emília- felt just like eating at your grandmothers house for a Sunday meal; warm and relaxed in a country house with great food and an Italian wine. The pasta special featuring the tagliatelle with fresh asparagus and celeriac purée was delicious among so many others; tagliatelle with mushroom sauce, tagliata di manzo and pan seared swordfish! The service was incredibly warm and friendly with knowledgeable suggestions. We will be back - Grazie Mille Pasta Emília!!!

    Charming suburban restaurant in backstreets of Surry Hills serving authentic Italian fare. Service is casual and friendly. Food quality especially the pasta dishes are of a high standard and more special than most places.

    Beautiful pasta, with sauces which were well balanced and very tasty particularly the crab. Good but small wine list, red wine we had was very drinkable.

    Lovely restaurant great vibe but a little pricey. Staff was very nice. Food was good and i would go back. I would like to have seen cannolli on the menu. Maybe next time.

    My pasta dish was so salty I couldn't finish it! There were no prices on the specials board & we were very surprised when we got the bill to see that the specials starter that 2 of us had ordered was $28! Not worth it!

    After arrival we ordered a bottle of wine the bottle of wine arrived ,we ordered them two meals they both arrived very quickly ( which may suggest they were preprepared !!! the speed was too fast to be made live )both meals were only WARM !!! a little disappointing for the price.     Visited several times. The small menu focuses on pasta, cheese and cured meats. Yhat said it is hard to justify the prices of most of the pasta dishes on offer and especially so given the proximity and value other Italian eateries close by charge. For me a side of salad greens priced at $14 is hard to justify. Wine by the glass is also on the expensive side. That said on the positive side tables are nicely spaced affording easy conversations and the atmosphere is charming. On my most recent visit I chose the pasta with chilli and garlic with a salad side. The salad was beautifully dressed and delicious, the pasta was somewhat odd, in taste, look and texture more like an Asian noodle than a pasta spaghetti.

    My husband and I loved our dinner at Pasta Emilia. The atmosphere was so relaxing, wait staff attentive and the food was so delicious-highly recommend the duck and truffle tortellini and papardelle with boar. Very similar flavors to what we have previously eaten in Italy. We will be back!

    Lovely Italian restaurant in Riley St offering a small but well executed menu of Italian fare with an emphasis on pasta, cheese and cured meats. Wine list by the glass is small and save for their house wine somewhat expensive, as is most of the pasta dishes on offer - or at least by comparison to some of its nearby competitors. Lovely homely feel ambiance with plenty of space between tables making it an excellent for both large family groups or friends, as well as for couples dining. Have been several times and enjoyed each visit immensely.

You can’t fake passion and a deep love for food, and Anna Eoclidi is an example of someone who truly loves food and all that it symbolises. Anna is the heart and mind behind Pasta Emilia, which originated in Bronte before relocating to the current Riley Street space. The cafe or ‘mensa’, which is a typical Italian dining hall, serves homemade and genuine food, nothing complicated and sophisticated. All the recipes, ideas and inputs behind the delicious fare comes from Anna’s Italian heritage and background, with all dishes made from biodynamic ingredients. Having grown up in a small village in the Emilia-Romagna region, which happens to be the pasta-making capital of Italy, there’s no doubt Anna has a special knack for pasta - her creations are award winning. Just try her duck and truffle tortelli with sage and butter or the strozzapreti with beef ragu' and parmigiano and you’ll be hooked. Thankfully you can buy Anna’s homemade pasta and sauces to DIY at home. Embodying all there is to love about Italian food and hospitality, Pasta Emilia has to be one of the shining stars of Surry Hills.
