I met my family for my birthday ???? ????. There was a variety of food to choose from as we all have quite different tastes. Food was great, staff were very friendly & helpful. Regards Liza
The food was nice but service was lacking. We arrived and was seated. It took around 20 minutes for someone to take our drink orders and around 30-40 minutes minutes before tea and high tea arrived. The service needs to be improved dramatically. The food was nice but probably won't be back.
Lovely lobby high tea. Many thanks to attentive staff. A lovely atmosphere in the Stamford with old world charm. Quiet and comfortable. Pleased to find it was not in the Pav Bar itself as that has a different atmosphere.
Angie was so lovely, called before to confirm , on arrival she was so warm and welcoming
Initial service was fine; then disappeared. First pour only of $125 champagne. Water rarely refilled. Needs more staff to improve service. Very little checking to see any requirements... 2nd drink, coffee etc.
Good service food & atmosphere
Could be better if they had table service.
Relaxing environment , very friendly and helpful staff
The high tea at the Pav Bar was fantastic I highly recommend! The service was amazing and I’ve never had tea that good before.
Serive was generally friendly . Though, we waited many times for water refills, and asking for coffee's. Perhaps putting on more wait staff. The lobby was very busy of course with a couple of wedding parties. Good for people who like to people watch, annoying for people who may wish to relax. A few random people weaving through tables to get to the otherside became rather annoying. The size of the table and chairs are great -enough room and space for all guests. Overall, we had a lovely time.
We had the Queensland High Tea which was lovely, and the staff were very friendly. However, we found the service and efficiency quite poor. We had to call for wine service twice, and there was confusion with the bill. We were also disturbed several times by hotel guests walking through the area with cases - it felt as if we were sitting in a lobby. There were two large parties in the room as well as a few smaller ones, and I think the team were under resourced resulting in the poor service.
Amazing customer service. Really genuine and helpful.
The service was fantastic. Plenty of food for all.
We were really disappointed by the experience. There was very little food and no atmosphere at all. I would say the food was average. After spending $225 I would have expected more. Will not return.
We did the High Tea and the put us in the Lobby walk way. The bread was soggy and the chicken wrap had gristle in it. The desert were nice though and the presentation was ok. The staff were amazing and tried their best to accommodate our discomfort. Would not recommend it for High tea The alfresco area had live music and was very nice though. This was where we should have been seated.
I booked afternoon tea and was expecting to be sitting outside overlooking the water. I also thought we would have one sweet each of the top tray not have to share the selection at the top. we have been to a lot of high teas in the UK and abroad and felt this was fairly average.
We enjoyed a High Tea in the Lobby Food good Service good Attractive surroundings Recommend for a special occasion
Really enjoyed the Spirit of Queensland afternoon tea. It was a beautiful afternoon. Would definitely recommend. I’d go again myself.
Good selection and delicious food though was bit disappointed there wasn't one of each sweet option per person for the price, when there was for the savoury elements
We really enjoyed the Queensland high tea. Beautiful food and lovely service. A nice treat.

Pave your way to paradise We do like a bar that has the good sense to warn potential martini drinkers that while James Bond had style, he did not possess enough of said quality to know that a real martini should be stirred, not shaken. If you should beg to differ, never fear: perhaps the equally spy-worthy Vanilla Russian or Chocolate Affair will take your fancy. Pav Bar also knows that their bar clientele have good company and conversation in mind just as much as their desire to enjoy good food. Hence the option of choosing small plates of finger-friendly food designed with sharing and tasting in mind. Hot and cold options include Stamford curry puffs, lamb koftas with tomato sugo, panko-crumbed reef fish with lime alioli and prawn cigars with chilli jam. Yum. Of course you can still enjoy a more substantial meal if you so desire, whether it be from the Singapore-inspired selection that includes laksa, wonton noodle soup or dim sum; or a pasta, risotto, or something from the grill. Conveniently located in the centre of Brisbane in the Stamford Plaza hotel, Pav Bar features a welcoming, French-inspired open-air courtyard complete with statue and fountain. And for the sports-minded, all the big games broadcast on their screen. Best dish: combination laksa.
