Philippe Mouchel

Philippe Mouchel was born in Normandy, and commenced his apprenticeship at the Hotel le Grand Cerf, at age 16. In 1991 Philippe and his family relocated to Australia where he opened the restaurant Paul Bocuse at Daimaru in Melbourne. In 2005 Philippe opened French restaurant, The Brasserie by Philippe Mouchel, at Crown and then in 2010 he opened P M 24, which closed in 2014. ‘Philippe’ opened in June 2016 and showcases traditional yet innovative French cooking.

Had a fantastic night out for my friend’s birthday. Great service and prompt delivery of food dish after fish. Very authentic French cuisine and they added a special touch since it was my friend’s birthday by surprising him with a cake !

We had our anniversary dinner there and the staff was very attentive. Food was excellent, I had the wagnu steak and the missus had snapper. Both beautifully done.
